I was originally bought a pair of E3C's as a Christmas present in 2006. The sound quality is undeniably fantastic, and as a commuter the sound deadening is a godsend. The problem is that they don't last long. The first pair of E3C's lasted about 6 months, the second pair the same. By the time the last pair came along the E3C's had been replaced, so I got a pair of SE210's... which also lasted 6 months. Problems have ranged from the speakers stopping, to the cord breaking. Be very careful when you buy a pair.

H2o Audio H3 Waterproof earphones headphones

This is my second set I've purchased and both seemed to lose sound in one earpiece. The fault I find is the T piece that joins the neckband.

I may have been unlucky but both sets broke at the same part within 6 months wear.

I swim 3 times per week so perhaps they are only meant for occasional use.

I am reluctant to buy a third set and am looking around for something more robust.

I bought these as my Sennheiser HD 201's which are closed cup (immersive sound at a budget price) broke whilst overseas. I bought the Philips SHS390's as temporary measure. Needless to say they are lighter than the 201's and allow me to wear them for longer. Good all round sound on a budget AND better bass sound than my more expensive running headphones - Sennheiser PMX70's (luminouse green in ear ones).

I bought these headphones a while back and have only just thought to do a review, whilst they are good with a good sound quality the durability is questionable at best, they broke after a few weeks and it wasn't like i was throwing them around, your better off spending a bit more and getting some more durable ones

I used to have a set of Skull Candy earphones which were great and I really liked them. Unfortunately they broke (got my money back as they have a cracking warranty) and I was disappointed at first, but it gave me reason to upgrade my earphones. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

It really is difficult to quantify the difference which these 'phones make on sound reproduction. First time I stuck them in my ears, it was like sitting in a recording studio with a band!

The quality is top notch.

I generally like my rock, so decided to go for this model rather than the Extra Base model, but wanted to see how they handled a bit of Prodigy. These things can handle bass as well as the clarity of shredding ... Read More:

If you think you know music because you have lots of it, forget it. These headphones really allow you to pick apart music like you would have never thought. I can hear sounds in my favourite tracks I couldn't even make out before.

To compare, Apple earphones which everyone uses have become irritating for me to use, because I know how limited the experience is to what it could be. I keep returning to the Grado headphones otherwise I feel dissatisfied, which seems like a negative point, but the quality of sound produced atom bombs the downside of not wanting to damage them by taking them on trips in a rucksack. These headphones have allowed me to develop my understanding of music so much further I can't believe it.

It seems I am some sort of freak. Not only do I have weird open ears that in-ear headphone fall straight out of, they are apparently also set too high on my head. Even on the smallest setting these headphones drop straight off my head when I look down. With the addition of a bendy hair curler and some lace I have fashioned a pad to keep them in place and have to say the sound is great. Feel a bit of a twit though.
