Having been through several sets of Sony headphones over the past year or so (MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia, MDR-E818LP & MDR-W08L) I've got to say these are the best I've found so far.
Pros;
Snug and comfortable fit
Excellent sound response - both at low and high frequencies
Don't distort at high levels
Look stylish and cool
Cheap to buy and good build quality
Cons;
None I can think of so far!
The other models I listed above were either uncomfortable, dislodged themselves and fell out after prolonged use and didn't offer decent sound quality.
I bought this cable to connect my PC to an external amp. I previously used a standard cable which I found satisfactory. I'm impressed by the difference in this upgrade after spending so little on it. Most connectors of this quality would easily set you back £30 in a hi-fi store.

I had a lot of trouble with these headphones. The volume control was the reason why I bought them, however, it was money well wasted. They are not as loud as the other "cheaper" models and they are awfully uncomfortable. The angle can't be adjusted on these so you only hear a part of the sound like mid and high... no much bass. I tried twisting them as much as possible to get a full sound, but they return to their original position almost instantly... stay away, unless you enjoy listening to music with your hands keeping the headphones at the right angle at all times. Just imagine running in the morning, with your hands holding your head... you'll be sectioned in no time!!! ;-)

I think they are great headphones considering it's size. The sound it produces can be quite good if you have the right settings on your device (EQ setting) Depending on what type of music you listen to as well. The Bass is quite impressive. And it is also crisp and clear at the same time.
Overall I don't regret buying it, but I do know that it can hurt your ears abit after constant use (more than 45mins) Maybe it's because of my big ears but I do sometimes tend to listen up to an hour or more. And it gets abit uncomfortable.
I gave it a 3 star because this is my second time buying it. The first one didn't last for more than 4 months. The wiring are not the best. They are quite small and flimsy. I just hope that particular ... Read More:
I initialy got these when I was in a pinch and haven't looked back since.
Good sound quality, a bit heavy on the bass, and the other weakpoint is the same as all earphones, the wires.
Other than that I would reccomend it as it's well worth its money, maybe even more so.
Forget your logiks and other budget makes kanon is a hidden gem.

I've only had one pair of Sony's that I've liked, and these are them! the folding mechanism is ridiculous, and the sound is average at best. Go for the Koss Porta Pro headphones instead.
Oh, and the only pair of Sony's I've like? The MDR-CD280's.

My Sony AWZ-A818 MP3 portable came with quite a decent sounding earphones, but upgrading it to the Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 Pro EB has been an awesome revelation to my ears! Indeed, I have tested it against my Beyer Dynamic 770 closed design Hi-Fi headphones, and I have no problem declaring the UE earphones a winner - especially at the bass end! Besides, the UE earphones are very efficient, so it means that I can play at lower volume - hence saving quite a bit of battery power. Great product and worth every penny. But my one minor grievance concerns its packaging, which is very cheap and poor for the the market it is aiming at!
