just got it today. didn't work at all! i had to hold it funny just to get it to charge, and trying to get it to open in itunes is a lost cause.

Too tight very flimbsy wire which tangles easily
sound is good but do not stretch or flex to loosen
I tried this after reading the reviews. after stretching on a small footballI put them on and the top part of the headband exploded and the tiny/clicker adjuster spring went flying I could not put back together
without new screws and glue for the cushion to make at least some use of them. Even after all this the ear cushions are too small and cause ear ache after a short while causing you to constantly reposition to gain some
comfort not as good as my £9.99 Philips. I would have returned them but
for £17.99 I cant be doing with the hassle. Remember these were brand new out of the box and in now way did I overstretch ... Read More:

They may not be noise cancelling but I've now bought 4 sets for the kids to replace the crummy iPod phones. What a difference and at this price - £3.85 per pair. Give your ears a treat and grab a bargain.

In one word these headphones are ace! I was originally looking to buy a bigger set but opted for something a little less "in your face"! At first before they arrived I was worried I had opted for the wrong ones but from the moment I opened them up I was impressed. The headphones neatly fold up and slip into a little case for easy transport- something which is not possible with the larger "DJ" style headphones yet the sound quality and comfort of these little beauties is just as satisfying. Volume can be at max with absolute minimal sound leakage- if any. So if you're looking for a quality set of headphones for general use such as mp3 players etc I would deffinately opt for these- trust me you won't be let down.

I mainly bought these for use with my Sony Ericsson W810i Walkman Phone. The sound quality is good, and the volume control is essential for my purpose (Google "W810i hiss" to find out why). The main drawbacks for me are:

(a) The discomfort. It does get better after a while, but is never really comfortable.

(b) The little rubber bits have a tendency to fall out. Fortunately, the MX55VC comes with a few a spares.

For years I have had a pair of Sony CD550 headphones which have just packed up after a vast amount of use. I bought these MDR-V150 to temporary replace them and also to use in the workplace. They are good value for money, but they will never replace the CD550 phones. The cable is far too short for me and needs an extension lead, and they are very uncomfortable after wearing them for 20 minutes or more. They sound Ok for what they cost, but I do not think I would purchase another pair unless Sony upgraded them to sound better, and feel better. If they did this and increased the price, I would be interested, but you pay for what you get with these phones. Sennheiser - I regarded them as a good name for headphones based on my experience with them in the 70s - a bit dearer than the "chunkies", but, from personal useage, worth it..but alas...
Tuning and volume control wheels embedded in the earpieces feel, and are, poor and cheap, ditto saddened by the sound quality - if you can get it 'just right'!?! - sadly, I remained frustrated.
The sound reproduction is not that(italics) impressive either.
Although I'm not 'made of money', these are so disappointing that I'm already thinking about replacing them. :-(

The Sennheisers are built really well they are not as known to break or even to have problems with them. This mean that are very reliable and you don't have to worry about them breaking. After using the Sennheisers for about a week I would rate them at an 8.5 out of 10. They would get a higher score if there sound quality were a little better. Also if it came with a mix amp it would get a lot higher score in my book.
