After my old headphones finally died through many years of use, I decided to treat myself to these top of the range Sennheisers. I have owned a few sets of Sennheisers previously and they have never let me down.
Upon first listen I was instantly blown away by the sound quality. The bass response is deep and brilliantly defined if you select the right set of silicon tips (there are 3 sizes supplied). Mids are warm with good instrument separation and treble, whilst not the strong point, is still clear and by no means shabby. I tried playing lots of genres through my iPod from ambient electronica to heavy rock via jazz and classical and these phones can handle pretty much anything you throw at them. The overall sound is extremely well ... Read More:

I have to admit to being disappointed when I first tried these headphones. I also have a set of Koss Porta-pro which have a far superior, richer sound. Where these headphones come into thier own is when flying or in a noisy environment. They don't cut out all the background noise, but they do reduce it to a much more acceptable level. With conventional headphones I have had to turn the volume up to try and drown out the background noise. The PXC250's offer a much more comfortable alternative.
Would I buy them again? Absolutely yes! (but i'll keep to Koss aswell)

I am in the process of returning these as, although they are good they have a big drawback.
- Noise isolation swtiched off -
The headphones have good sound quality. The plastic covers on the end of the earphone can be swapped to fit different ears as needed but you only get 1 set of each size so don't loose them. Sound isolation is ok, they do let in about 2/3's of external sound (remember, I have left the switch off so far).
- Noise isolation switched on, after fitting AAA battery I had to provide -
WOW, it makes a drastic difference to external sounds. There is one massive drawback that now happens though in that there is a huge ammount of background hiss. Its like sitting next to escaping steam and trying ... Read More:

First of all let me say I have NO complaints about the quality of these headphones.
However, the belt clip has proved very fragile and broke after only a few days careful use.
The noise cancelling is not quite as "aggressive" as the 250 series, so if you're planning to use them on the tube I'd recommend the 250 over the 300. However, the quality of the 300 in normal conditions (train, plane) is superb, and much better than the 250.

wow after my old seinheissers broke i decided lets give old sony ago and wow was i amazed. im a massive trance fan and these headphones do the genre justice. the only bad thing is they are tad bit heavy and may look odd on the train with your mp3 player but still its just worth the sound quality to wear em still :)

Great sound quality, and you can get to quite high volume without annoying your fellow train passengers. The cable is annoying as its rubbery and sticks to things (itself, clothes, furniture) so it snags and gets tangled easily.

I bought these speakers looking for a low cost solution to listening to my Creative MP3 player, after buying and subsequently returning a similarly priced set of speakers from Argos I decided to do a little research and found the reviews you see on this page were being highly complementary about this system so thought i'd give them a go.
Without going too over the top and waxing too lyrically as I think some of the other reviewers have, the sound quality is very good, they look very good and the price is very good.
These really are great little speakers and I would endorse anyone with similar requirements as myself to get a set, they almost blow the old adage of 'you get what you pay for' out of the water!
It's a fact that they aren't as good as more expensive ... Read More:

These are the first of this type i have used (in-ear) and i am very pleased. They are light and (for me at least) fit in the ear well.
At last i can listen to the ipod while going off to sleep and rest my head on the pillow without having my ear squashed by the 'outside ear' sort of headphone.
They do leave my ears rather hot inside but really that has only been noticeable 'after' i have taken them out and the cooler air touches the skin.
If you are a self-professed 'audiophile', then you are at the wrong page. If, however, you are a normal human being who is looking for a stylish yet functional pair of great sounding in-ear headphones, then you have arrived at the right page.
If, like myself, the regular in-ear phones all too often fall out, and you don't like either the idea of pushing 'buds' into your inner ear or the idea of outer-ear headphones ruffling your feathers then here is perhaps the best solution to your musical problems. As one would expect from Bang & Olufsen not only do these remarkable headphones look like a piece of modern art, but they function perfectly well too; and not merely in the audio sense. Functionally they are an amazingly flexible yet simple to use design, built around an ingenious three ... Read More:
