In trying to pick a set of headphones for the gym, one common theme emerged: that everyone is different, and that most products get wonderful and bad reviews. With that in mind, I went for a brand I knew and a style I liked (over the ear hooks) and I have to say I'm pleased.

The Philips are, above all, comfortable and easily fitted in my small-average size ears for a woman. In less than 30 seconds they are in my ears and need no further adjustment. I have also been wearing them for most of the day at work (around 8 hours) and have felt no irritation or discomfort which some people state as a problem with other similar products. Im full of praise for this little case. It looks very stylish and adds allot of protection compared to your average case. Its great value for money and i protects most areas of your i pod. I can even put it in pocket and walk around with it in this case! (may not sound like a wow factor but without a case your i pod would be in scratchville)

I was a bit sceptical about whether the sound quality would be any good but I was pleasantly surprised. I thought they would sound horrible and tinny, but you can hear a decent amount of low and mid range frequencies when you use them with a 3G Nano. If you're after a compact & easy to use set of travel speakers, you can't go wrong. Also, when the speakers arrived the power pack hadn't been included. I contacted the seller by email and they sent out a power pack which arrived the following morning. Full marks for their communication.

I bought a pair of CX400 to replace my last sennheiser headphones that were perfect until the cable failed - the same problem with the last 2 sets so i tried something new.

The sound quality is good but very fiddly to achieve. You need to make sure the seal on the earbuds is perfect otherwise your get tinny and poor quality sound.

If you get the seal right then it is impressive, good base and quality for all the music i like - classical, trance, folk, rock, you name it.

The biggest downside though - and the reason i will stop using these when i can replace them - is the cable noise.

Ok so I bought these for £17.whatever and £4.95 for shipping so it was just over £20. I've had a set of these before and they were great until they were stolen! As others have said to get the most out of these you have to not be afraid to actually stick them IN your ears. I would like to say however that you must be careful of the New and Used offers, because sometimes you can buy a pair for as little as £2.99 but 99.9999'% of the time these are going to be fake. The fake versions even come in nifty Sennheiser packaging and looks authentic, what with it's logo, patents and barcodes etc. The thing with the fake headphones is that although they might sound good, they dont compare to the genuine sound and i think if you want decent quality you are going to have to pay for ... I already have a pair of iLogic3 speakers for my iPod that I was so impressed with it and decided, unless I am willing to spend more than £200 pounds, I will not look at any other brand. True enough, this model of iStation did not disappoint me.

I read a lot of reviews before buying both on the product and merchants. Two things I would say, this model has one trick... adjust the alarm volume as you will have a shock of your life in the morning if you don't (some tips I got from one of the reviews - thanks!) and buy from Amazon (and not from its merchants - you will know this when you choose the product to buy). This was exactly what I needed and within my budget. The quality of the case is nice and it holds my 80gb Ipod classic very securely. I like it and would recommend it to anyone.

These earphones give out a high quality sound and a brilliant bass, however if you go to the gym or walk alot then these earphones are not for you as they would last for about 4 to 6 months, as they are prone to be damaged by all the wear and tear.
