New Apple iPod shuffle 2GB Blue

If you have a 1GB Apple shuffle you will know how great these are, I have just upgraded to a 2GB simply because I had filled my 1GB and was having to delete songs to fit new ones on.
Once you are set up with itunes importing your fav tracks from your cds is extremely easy as is deleting songs you get fed up with. I haven't actually downloaded from the itunes site as I have so many cds anyway . I use mine with sony headphones and with any cheap ones I have and the sound quality is excellent in either case. I did treat myself to a seperate sony ipod charger so i am not tied to charging on the computer. If I was buying a shuffle for the first time I would choose a 2GB if I could afford it as like me you would probably end up upgrading ... Read More:

Incredibly poor customer support.
Archos will only deal with its customers problems if you have a WMA number which you can only get after queueing on their premium rate "support" lines. Support lines are off hand to rude. Goods returned not fixed.

This is a real draw back as Archos' appear inheritantly glitchy.

I had made the mistake of incorporating internet radio functionality in the purchase of a Yamaha RX-V2700 home-cinema receiver. The software utilised in the Yamaha is v.Tuner. The user manual misrepresented v.Tuner's ability to stream WMA and WAV files in addition to its MP3 operability. Subsequently, favourite stations were delivered in poor bitrate levels, or were not available if not transmitted in MP3.

The purchase of the Squeezebox, however, rescued this dire situation. Favourite radio stations are delivered in the highest bit rate quality (and to my ears, at least, at near CD quality), and, more importantly, all the stations that I desire are available. This is a good little MP3 player. Good points include:

- Very quick charge time
- Decent battery life
-Same amount of hard drive space as iPod Shuffle, but you get more flexibility in how the songs are played back
-No annoying Sony Sonic syncing software
-Good sound quality
-Looks good.

There is only one bad point:

If you use Media player instead of simply dragging files to add music, the player can only play the album songs in alphabetical order. If you drag and drop them the player recognises the number prefix to the track name and thus plays them in the order they were intended by the artist.

I did the sound for a conference recently and with this device you can record two separate mono signals (left and right), so I recorded two seminars on one machine simultaniously.

How easy is this player! On Christmas day I took it out of the box, plugged it into the computer (it charges itself through the USB), Windows XP recognised it, I dragged some songs onto it. Job done.
No software to download, not even a CD in the box! It also plays licence protected WMA (in other words anything downloaded legally from other than itunes). The Philips PSS I got last year for my other daughter did none of the above.
Well done Creative making such an easy device for such a good price . And it had to be white.

This my first MP3 player after falling asleep on my personal CD player and doing it no good at all. I expected the build and sound quality of a Sony to be first class and I wasn't disappointed although I did invest in some Phillips Superior Sound headphones to make the best of it. Like others, I found the capacity a bit disappointing at only 250 tracks and the shuffle doesn't shuffle as it should. Overall I'm delighted with both the player and Amazon's usual superb service.

Love this little gadget, it's easy, practical and very snazzy looking.
Cons:
*found the volume isn't that loud(for my personal preference, I like it VERY LOUD,
*I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to remove the pictures I'd added, but then I didn't try very hard at finding out.Im sure there's a logical way.
*Headphones are fine for sitting on a train, not so fine if you're going for a run.Or even a walk.They fall out too easily.
Overall, pretty nifty, and oh so easy to use!!Put mine through the wash by accident not so long ago, but am now the proud owner of the Ipod Classic :)

I've had this piece of kit for 6 months now and must accept that this gadget is addictive to say least! be in mobile entertainment or home-theatre entertainment (use the dock with my projector) it fits in very well, unmatched in quality and features. The display is 'crystal' and the projected images are sufficiently sharp upto 2m diagonal.
There are a few shortcomings however, esp the bulk of the hard drive and the usability as the interface isn't really finger friendly. I'd wish that it had the fluidity of the iPOD touch but having owned an AV, a Gen 4 and now a 5 , I have to admit that Archos are making a good effort in making their PVPs more usable.
