I have had mine for over a year and it has never failed me once. Great for downloaded content, plays all sorts of files, fantastic screen for downloaded movies or TV. Fits in the back pocket and comes with me on all my travels. Buy a better set of headphones to really appreciate the music. Attatches to any TV. You can view and move the files via windows rather than the supplied software.

This is probably the best mini music player i've ever brought, its a fantastic little piece of kit
+ Fantastic Sony sound quality with plenty of ways to adjust sound output
+ Amazing long battery life, 33hours with 3hours charge
+ Crisp, well lit screen is easy to see even in bright sunlight
+ No more Sonicstage! Easy transfering with just drag and drop, easy-peasy
+ Great design, no larger then a credit card and nearly as light
+ The Earphones are much better then the normally rubbish ones you get bundled with a MP3 player
Only a few negative points i can think of really...
- difficult to create custom soundtracks, everything stored in one folder
- Quite expensive for just 2Gb....

First thing I did was update the firmware to v01.01.29f - Sandisk user forums will go through the process and enhancements made to the latest version, you won't be disappointed.
Bought a separate set of head phones, in blue to match the player and synced up to media player. Piece of cake.
Radio is good - auto scanned and picked up everything it should, listened for a good 30 mins whilst on a jog and always had good reception.
Music sounded a little flat so changed to the equaliser to my preference and a big improvement.
Easy to charge, not had chance to test the 15hr battery life. I'm also going to be using an old motorola charger when i'm away from a pc. (pebl, u6 and razr should work, amongst ... Read More:

I spent literally hours looking for a good value mp3 player and decided to go for this. Wish I hadn't now. Even though it looked as though everything had been uploaded onto the player correctly - I got constant file errors and even when re-setting and following the pretty poor "trouble-shooting" material it still wasn't working. As for the radio - it never managed to play at all. I've sent it back to amazon and am looking forward to my refund as I don't want to risk another one of these for the same to happen again.

I am using this with a Ipod Nano and it is pretty good and a nice design. takes up little desk space. sound is pretty good and there is a remote - takes a bit to get used to and really needs line of sight.
only down point is that at lower volumes, when long track names are played, the title scrolls across the screne and a clicking noise comes out (a bit like the clicking noise when using the wheel thingy but not so loud - and yes, i have the clicker turned off on the ipod). Mines is on my work desk and right close to me. move it further away and the noise is not heard.

I am surprised that the sound is so good and it is very good value. It just plugs in USB charges for some hours and using Windows media player 11 just drag and drop to the Walkman. Just use the windows sync with media player when plugging it in USB. It is smaller than a swan match box.
I just need to find a case for it and maybe a clip but I think a top pocket will be fine. I don't see any need to buy head phones, they are very good.
Of course Sony is a solid brand name and I am delighted with it and its ease of use and interface. With average ability it is easy to set up and use with little trial and error. Just when first using it move the slide switch on the left side of it so that is not on hold, then it will work.
And 500 songs ... Read More:
I am currently waiting for the battery to run out on my ipod classic as after plugging this in none of the buttons work-I cant turn it off or change the song or anything. I did get it to transmit before noticing this and the sound quality was not very good anyway.
