One of the most satisfactory experiences I've had after a purchase was the lean, pristine look of the black iPod. It was perfect, splendid - simply beautiful!!! The first thing I did after carefully unpacking it from its neat case was switching it on. With an explosion of solid colours it literally comes to life and you immediately see the quality of this product. The design is unique, and for me it is perfect. The rotating all-in-one wheel is simply outstanding. The sound quality is impressive, and you have the option to further enhance this by purchasing better headphones.

The video display leaves you speechless. I converted a movie from a DVD on my computer onto the iPod and I have yet to find a better video player at that size! ... Read More:

I ordered the Zen stone because the reviews had led me to believe it was cheap but reliable and easy to use.

It took 10 days to arrive, but it did appear to be very straightforward: I plugged it into my computer and discovered right away one really stupid design flaw: it's made so that when it's plugged into a USB on a laptop, it automatically goes face down.

But, I could access the drive immediately and upload a lot of albums - good!

The next morning: it wouldn't play.

It took a surprising amount of time to discover via the "Knowledgebase" on the website (since the stacks of paper provided with it had no information about what it might mean if the LED light wasn't visible) before I figured out ... Read More:

Was bought for me Christmas 2006, all went well untill July o8.Would not turn off even when trying to reset unit. Next morning totally dead , would not even charge or be recognised by my pc.This nano has never been away from my workout station, never dropped or missused, so why????????
Have to go for another, trying for Nano 3rd gen, as I have only just bought expensive dock, hope i have more luck this time.
I would recommend 100% if it had been more reliable.

It is my first iPod, and I like it a lot, but as other buyers I'm also frustrated by the volume cap imposed by EU regulations.

Even worse, this is the first generation of iPod's for which there is no proper fix to this inconvenience.

I've been trying to solve this with noise-cancelling headphones, but it just isn't the same as cranking up the volume.

Unfortunately this isn't a condition that affects Apple alone, so if you think it will bother you, try to buy your music player out of the euro zone.

I had seen this advertised maybe lst year and thought 'could be good', however I had got a Creative zen that xmas and was quite happy. Having lost the Zen due to a druken outing and forgot about the shuffle, I went through various £20 1gb mp3 players over 9 months.

When I got this last week I couldn't really belive the size (it's tiny) but robust. The fact it clips on anywhere is great for the gym because I feel the armband holsters look a bit odd as I don't like flapping wire when I work out. The volume is very good and the headphones don't fall out of my ear ( yes I do move when I work out!). 1gb is enough for a workout, even if you spread time out over 2 1/2 to 3 hours. This was bought for me as a birthday present and it's a cracker. Good sound quality, easy to use and excellent battery life. Well worth the money.

Excellent bit of kit! Had it working in less than a minute, and the best packaging I've ever seen! Sound quality is not perfect, but very good for in car. The only shame is no album browsing, but otherwise perfect for what I want, which is not having to have loads of CD's in the car.

Cute, light and good looking - who could ask for anything more?

Well we all could to be honest, because we could ask for power and this cute little device has none. Simple to use, has many, many functions - although it includes an FM radio which I am guessing wont be too useful when the big digital switch over happens - and will take most formats (a major plus over any iEquipment).

But there is always a trade off and here it is power. The life of the thing is about 6 hours. I am not kidding, 6 hours and that is rubbish. As much as I dislike iEquipment, now, at least the stuff stayed charged.

Which is a real shame, because I want to like Creative products. In PCs they are great but this is my first relationship with them outside ... Read More:

The Sound Quality is superb. also impress that on a sunny day you can still see the display. Battery Life is amazing its like it lasts forever compared to my philips 2gb player, I bought this to run as a second player but i prefer it to my other one in some ways... Expansion card is good however its worth a read up on before hand remember to format the card first

I admit to being a total gadget freak, and I bought this little gem because I spend 3 hours a day on a train. Even with my gadget dedication, I sometimes find the gadgets I buy a little too complicated, and often end up not using them as they should be used. Imagine then, my delight, when I discovered how easy the Archos is to use. I set it up to record programmes I don't have time for in the evenings and watch them on the way to work in the mornings. I've converted DVDs and loaded them onto the Archos, and I took the entire season of Huff with me on holiday - in case of bad weather. Being able to watch a full-length movie on a relatively short plane journey helps the time pass that much quicker. I use my Archos 605 (160G) every day, and I wouldn't be without it ... Read More:
