I loved this mp3 player, it had great sound and its was very easy to use.
A few weeks after getting it the volume button stopped working.
I carried on using it and it started working again but a week later it didnt.
I still carried on using it. A month later it stopped working all together and wont turn on at all.
This is a very good mp3 player..... when it works.

This CD player is certainly portable, but not very convenient because there is no belt clip or means of attachment to clothing. In other words, you can be stationery with it on a surface near you or moving provided you hold it!

Unfortunately, this deficiency cannot be seen without cutting open the firm plastic packaging, which then voids the conditions for return to Amazon.

The sound quality is satisfactory but the "mega bass" does not do much for my hearing.

Brill sound when you can get it to work...but instructions not at all clear and there is a demo message that you need to get rid of....once this is done fantastic value, fantastic sound but not that user friendly until you know what your doing.... Using it with ipod you have to turn the sound up quite high but the quality is crystal clear...
Just think the instructions are bad...

Bought this iPod as a gift for wife and she loves it - looks great and overall it's a very good mp3 player. Though for me the only reason to buy a 1g (first generation) nano is if you want a black or white one. It's true what they say, you only have to put the 1g down on a normal surface and it's scratched. The 2g nano has a longer life battery and better casing, which they say is less likely to pick up marks. So for me it's a shame there isn't a 2g in white.
If like me you're a windows user it's worth noting you can install the iPod as a drive on your pc but as these are older models, they require an up-date before you can transfer files. After wasting loads of time I found myself having to use the iTunes software. My advice even if ... Read More:

A great little unit comes with a remote controller which is not always mentioned but very useful. Controls are well placed and easy to use. I could have wished for a slightly better tone but mega bass is available which makes a lot of difference. I really congratulate Sony for using re-cyled cardboard packing instead of that ghastly plastic foam which gets everywhere these days. Just missed giving it 5 stars because the price is just a tad high for the speaker quality which one gets.

Cute little gadget but the manual is very easy to follow but also very straight forward to download and upload music. So I think it is worth the vaule if you just want a simple MP4.

This player was bought for the kitchen, so sound quality - within reason - was not a priority. It is sold as a compact model, so as compactness was an issue it was chosen.

The build quality is perfectly good for the money and the range of features fit for purpose. The sound quality is reasonable, if a bit top-heavy and lacking in subtlety. Both CD and cassette playback are OK. The FM tuner is OK, but locally Radio Three is a little weak and it can't receive in stereo without high levels of background noise. It is nice to note that it retains Long Wave, something vanishing from cheaper models of this type.
