I looked at all the reviews for this product, and decided to get it. I don't regret my decision as it was always going to be hooked up to my TV to watch international DVDs, that's it, but when I was trying it out I found that the DVD flap needs holding down otherwise it comes open. It doesn't bother me that much, I just put a book or a bit of tape on it as I'm not going to use it as a portable. But if you are, you might want to think about that.
Also when it starts up it makes a lot of noise, which is unexpected - I thought it was malfunctioning! But when it warms up and starts to play the DVD the system is very quiet. It looks nice, it has a good sized screen and other than the above, I can't find anything wrong with it. A good little ... Read More:

I bought my daughter this as a gift for Christmas last year (2006) and it has just stopped playing DVDs all together (4 days before the warranty runs out! Wonder if its it true about the warranty chip?? :0|. Didn't buy it directly from Amazon as it was through Pixmania.com. Just in the process of sending back for replacement or likely a refund now.

It hasn't been mistreated or roughly handled and i am dissapointed to be returning as overall it came with a load of extra accessories.
