Very Expensive
Made of cheap plastic
DVD Drive makes a loud squeal when playing dvds
The catch on the dvd drive's cover is very fragile and easily broken.
I am returning mine mainly because of the noisy drive and because I feel it is NOT worth it's price tag as its very poorly built and the drive cover is very flimsy and easily broken

Having had experience using a Panasonic LA95 prior to investing in the LX9 I can safely say that the LX9 is the one you should go for. The LA95 had what I would call an impressive picture for a portable and at about one and a half meters away the picture was fantastic. Up close however the picture was very pixellated and not what I would call DVD quality. Since you normally watch such devices with them on your lap or right in front of you this wasn't really adequate. The LX9 on the other hand has awesome picture quality and even with your nose to the screen I struggle to spot any pixellation, mainly due to a significant increase in resolution. Watching films is now so much more enjoyable and I fail to see how any portable DVD player can ... Read More:

I bought this player over a year ago and still it remains the best buy Ive made in a long time. I had my doubts when I first seen the screen size but when you actually switch on and watch a film on this you will realise the screen size is perfect - if you buy a player with a bigger screen size the whole portable idea starts to disappear. The picture quality is as good as you will see and the picture mode can also be changed, so you can watch in various formats as well as changing the brightness and colour displays. The sound quality of the internal speakers is pretty dodgy but plug in a set of speakers or earphones and the sound quality is amazing. Another bonus is the adjustable viewing angle of the screen allowing viewing in any position.

I have just bought a Ronin M280 and read the poor review above while waiting for it to be delivered - I felt I had made a mistake. However on arrival I was very impressed.

The screen is a good size and the picture is very clear and sharpe. The unit itself is slim and compact, and looks stylish. The speakers are not perfect, but as good as you could expect for a portable - the sound is clear and it goes as loud as you would want in a public place (sound through a good pair of head phones is perfect). In terms of the button to load the disk - its the same as a portable CD player - a little flimsy but it does the job fine. I would say that this player is easily worth the money, and you would struggle to find anything better for the price. ... Read More:
