The sound quality of these 'phones amazed me at the price. The drawbacks, however, were a too-long lead and unnecessary (for me) in-line sliding volume control. It meant I kept catching the lead on things - particularly at the gym - the control was a weak point and, consequently, they didn't last too long. Repeatedly jerking at the control exposed the cable slightly, and eventually one channel packed up. Won't stop me ordering some more, though the 4-6 week deilvery time has already led me to go for some simpler (inferior-sounding) temporary replacements.

I saw these online and fell in love with them. They go well with IPOD and the sound quality is good as well. Main thing is the cables can be retracted to the headphones and so it does not become tangled and messy. I just love it as it is easy to store as in the bag.

three out of five? WHY?
Because, when I put the headphones on, I cannot hear anythng else. :) Yes, there WERE specially made for a DJ (and I am not). The phone is ringing, the post man is downstairs, my girl is screaming... and I am listening very peaceful. ;)
I like the cord though -> looks like an old telephone cord and is very flexible.
The sound is quite poor but what can you expect from a Sennheiser?
NO people, the sound is FANTASTIC! Because it isolate your head from the surroundings, you can almost interact with the sound.
And about the sensitivity... you know, nobody tells about that in a review: the sensitivity is EXCELENT! you increase the volume so little and your head is blowing!
But why ... Read More:

Wanted white earphones to use with white Zen Stone (like to be colour co-ordinated). Find it handy to have neck strap, then player isn't as likely to pull buds out of ears. These had received good reviews (except the 'tinny' one), but I realise that you have to use the right size of ear bud to get the best from them. I tried the small to start with, but the sound wasn't very good. Changed to medium and brilliant, I could hear bits of background music I'd never noticed before, loads of bass and very clear. I'm really pleased with them and thinking of ordering a black pair (to go with my black Zen Stone, obviously!!).
Do not listen to people by saying that this product is tacky it is not. The Picture looks good but the real thing is so much better. Also £17.99 may seem a lot of money, but it is absolutley worth it. The sound quality is so much better than all other headphones that if you connect it to your iPod or MP3 half the volume with Skullcandy' is the full volumwe with the original headphones that you get wih your original music player

I purchased these as a replacement for the MDR-EX71 pair I bought about 2 years ago which, although still sounding great, are showing distinct signs of the cable wear that other users have mentioned. I seem to recall paying approx £27 for the '71s at the time, but loved them (and still do - but see my review of Sennheiser CX-300).
I actually ordered the E818LP model, but was given a 'free upgrade' to the E828LP (for good or ill) and at the price couldn't be bothered to go through the fuss of an exchange despite the reviews of the '818s being generally more favourable.
For the price, and without having them long, I think they are a good buy. The sound may not be quite as clear and sharp as that experienced with the EX71, but they ... Read More:

I have terrible problems with earplugs that fall out, the only good thing about these headphones is that they in fact don't fall out. The clip design works for my troublesome ears. However you should not buy these as the sound quality is terrible!
I have professional audio equipment (roland v-drums, xfi elite pro, marantz amp) and have tried them with other portable devices (creative zen, 3 mobile phones) and the sound volume is VERY low, they're extremely tinny unless you press and hold the earplugs right into your ear, but that's no good as i can't ride a bike or play drums while pressing headphones into my ears!
With all the portable devices I tried (mobile phone, music players, etc) I couldn't turn the device up enough to be ... Read More:
