I bought these to replace very used 4 year old PX 100's and compared the sound of both headphones immediately. My old PX 100's are much better - no question. The sound quality of the PX 100's is superior and they are much more comfortable - enough said.

I should have loved these headphones, I got used to using iPod headphones and lets be honest, their not the greatest in headphone technology!! But, having spent my 19.99 I was expecting a good sound, nothing life changing but I was expecting something really good. The problem I found was that they just didn't fit that well. The sounds was ok, when I pushed these headphones into my ear the sound was great. The bass was defined and the treble was clear. The mid range bass seemed a little lost in these headphones but thats to be expected I suppose.

But, really, I dont think I have exceptionally shaped ears or anything particularly odd in the shape of my ear. These headphones had three different sized ends and they none of them seemed ... Read More:

Firstly, these headphones really do punch a lot higher than their weight in terms of sound quality vs. money spent.
The sound quality just is astounding for something that is under £20. I've had a pair of £40 Sennheisers for about 2 years and they are not a patch on the PortaPros.
The bass response on these is warm, strong and natural, without rattling your eardrums. The midtones are lovely and strong, which is something rather missing on a lot of headphones. The high end is clear and bright as well. I will say that these do take a little getting used to, mainly because they do produce such a completely rounded sound.

At first, I was a bit skeptical. They look a little different from the normal type of headphones and usually ... Read More:

If you are looking for sports headphone that stay in place, are robust, provide great sound, do not fall out of your ears and are reasonably priced...then look no further.

I wanted headphones specifically for running and I've had these for over a year now and they are still working perfectly despite being 'sweated into' and rained on. I once went running in a heavy downpour with them on and afterwards the sound became tinny. I wondered if they had been damaged irrevocably, but after a week of drying out of their own accord, they were back to their functional best.

My only point of improvement would be to have volume control on the lead - as per other Sennheiser headphones. Because I use an Ipod, you have root around for the Ipod itself ... Read More:

12 pounds is too much for these headphones. after a few weeks of use the sound started to interrupt. there is absolutely no insulation from environmental noise.

Listen folks, I have 2 pairs of these and they are without doubt the best sounding low-mid priced headphones I've personally ever had.
What you have to do though, to get the best possible sound, is to make absolutely sure you have the right size buds fitted. They come with 3 sizes, I'm an average sized bloke but I needed the large buds. If you don't test for the right size, you will end up wondering why lots of people rave about these cans.
How to test ?
What you need to do is fit each set of buds, play some bassy music, then push the headphones gently into your ear until they sit snugly, then gently push them til as far as they can go. If you notice an increase in bass while you've pushed them further than they would normally sit in the ear, then ... Read More:

I was previously impressed with the Creative Labs EP-630 earphones I bought a couple of years ago, but since the right ear stopped working, I decided to invest in a new pair.

After trialing lots of different types of music with the CX300's, they are just perfect in every way. You truly can't hear anything once you have music playing, and the bass is brilliant! I have always been a fan of in-ear earphones and the fact that they give you 3 different sizes of rubber gromits to fit your ear is brilliant, I can even use the rubber gromits from my Creative Labs EP-630's as a spare if I lose these. I found the EP-600 rubber gromits came off quite easily if you got them caught somewhere, however the CX300's gromits seem much more secure.

And for £17 you ... Read More:

I recently purchased a Creative Zen 16gb mp3 player, (with which I`m extremely happy, incidently) but the headphones that came with it, although providing good sound quality, sat rather uncomfortably in my ears and had a tendency to keep falling out. So I scoured Amazon and settled upon the Sennheiser PX 200s due to the high number of 5 star reviews. Here are the pros and cons:-

Pros - durable construction
- nice and light
- fold away neatly
- extremely comfortable
- don`t leak too much sound
- cancels out external sound

Cons - poor bass response, most of the action seems to be going on
in the mid-range
- overall sound rather thin ... Read More:

I went into several shops and tested many different headphones - these sound-wise were the best. Very good quality.
Good build quality too - they look and feel well made.
Several of Sennheiser's previous models had reviews mentioning the headphones kept slipping off your head - however, i did not experience that with these.
The self charging stand is excellent - dead easy!
No hissing or crackling. Good choice if you willing to spend a little more money - you won't be disappointed.
