I am more discerning than most people when it comes to headphones, though I would not call myself a bona fide audiophile: my most advanced headphones being the Sennheiser HD280s, which I've also reviewed.
Being a bit of a wired snob in that I don't generally trust wireless devices* to provide equal fidelity to wired ones, so I didn't expect much from the RS120s. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried them out with a Hilary Hahn CD. They are open, so they've got a fairly light, airy sound that some may feel lacks punch, but is fine for most music and is not overly tiring on the ears. Tuning can be a little fiddly, and I think that it is important to plug the dock in to the motherboard jack rather than a jack on your speakers (if ... Read More:

Read through loads of reviews on wireless headphones and for the price I was willing to pay and feedback from this site decided to go for these. Although Argos is slightly more expensive decided to buy from them because if the hissing is bad then at least I return them.
Upon purchasing these the first thing you have to do is turn the cap on the left part of the headphone to insert the rechargable batteries. Spent 15 minutes trying to do this reading and re-reading the manual to no avail so returned them to Argos for another pair. Again same problem is neither me nor the customer service attendant could open it. So I asked for money back on them.
So to this day I will never know how good or bad they sound.

yep, these are a rip off, they should come in packs of 6 in a specific size as you know what size your ears are after you bout the headphones in the first place and they came with a pair of each size to try.
However, these are cheaper than Shure equivalents, then again Sony is not in the same price bracket as Shure either. It's really annoying paying £4 per piece of usable rubber (for my ears) yet, these headphones (phontopias) are really good for the money, I just better look after the rubbers better!

Bought a Sony Playstation 3 Console in September last year and wanted to be able to speak to friends online whilst playing online games so, needed to think about purchasing some bluetooth headphones to enable me to do this.
Out of all the different type of headphones I have worn over the years I have found the small in ear type earphones do not stay in my ear that well and the other type of headset that hooks over the ear uncomfortable to wear if worn for long periods of time. As I would be using a headset for gaming and for long periods of time both did not meet my requirements and I deemed both these types unsuitable.
After going on various sites and having no luck in finding a suitable pair, I started to research and ... Read More:

I'm a DJ and personally don't go for the fancy expensive can's that big names throw out. I previously owned the V200 which had started to get a bit crackly on the Hi-Hat's and bass, so I wanted an upgrade and went for these seeming as they're next in line.
Truth be hold in my eyes (or ears, should I say...) their is very little difference between these and even the V200 or V500 (both of which cost more or less!). The build quality is the same; OK but over time becomes creaky and fragile. The sound quality is very much similar, perhaps a little more bass performance in these than the V200. Apart from it's nice silver finish, little more can be said, except Sony could be charging you an extra tenner for the delight of a screw-on Long Headphone ... Read More:

I've had these cans for about a year now... and it's by far my most beloved possession!!
I listen to classical, rock, hip-hop; use it for late-night piano practice, and the occasional music production.
The response is flat... so it might take a while getting used to -if you prefer thumping bass in your music. However, they reproduce sound EXACTLY as it's recorded. I've heard several details in songs I never knew were there before!! I also own a pair pricier Etymotic Research® in-canal headphones and the clarity of this is comparable to that.
The noise-isolation is astounding! The ear cups physically block out sound, without being uncomfortable. You'll get completely lost in your music if you've got these on.
