this game is brilliant. i had it for a few years on the same battery and play it often. it fits nicely into the pocket or handbag. functions are easy to work and you can pause the game at any stage and return at any time. can only recomend to anyone who likes this game.

The Samsung YH-999GS is a rare media player. Very expensive when introduced it flew in the face of the conventional Ipod and other players. With this player Samsung has produced somewhat of an enigma. A startling player that does certain things very well but others less so than other models. It is a device for the non-conformist. This model is durable unlike some I could mention, it is built to last and not designed to break a month after the warranty has expired. It has superb music playback quality as well as good video playback on a large 3.5" screen. On the outside this product seemed perfect for me: plently of memory, nice display screen and plenty of useful little functions as well as good reviews...

...and yes, it was good for a while. The initial reason for purchasing this was so I had all my music/photos, etc. in one easily accessible place...

...HOWEVER, I have had no end of annoying niggles with this product. In less than a month the menu button had broken and would continuously get stuck which meant I couldn't access what I needed on the player. The select button also broke which made selecting items that much harder. The player keeps freezing and the only way to get it semi-functioning again is to quite literally disable the battery as that's the only way you ... Read More:

One of the selling features of the Archos Gmini 202, one of the very things that makes it attractive to people who don't want to feel like they're carrying an original gameboy in their pocket when they want a 20 gig player, is its TINY size...

...if you want to preserve that tiny size when you protect the player, I wouldn't recommend this case. That is, of course, if you don't mind people staring at the giant protrusion from your beltline.

iAudio A2 30Gb Personal Media Player

Bought this little beauty last week. Sound quality is excellent and watching films on it is a delight. The player seems solid. The graphical user interface for browsing files as well and playing is very impressive. So far, the A2 has played every Divx film I've copied to it including some rare codecs. The clarity is superb. I've plugged the player into the car stereo to listen to music and lectures. I've recorded some lectures with the recorder option with excellent results. I copied tapes as well. Every conceivable cable you could use is supplied.

Some minor foibles:

I downloaded from the same internet site a number of lectures in .wma format. Some of them played fine while others gave an error. The player shows an "X" - ... Read More:

A brilliant little player, both for music (plays FLAC as well as MP3 and ~WMA) and for vids - plays Xvid/Divx.
Sound quality excellent, esp. with good headphones (use Sennheiser PX200, haven't tried the ones in the box) and you can use the built-in speaker which is fine for audiobooks.

So easy to use - ignore their software, just plug in the usb and drag and drop your stuff on to it. There's only conversion needed for ebooks, which they supply a little program for.
There's even a dedicated forum at iaudiophile.net

Even better, Tesco online are doing this at the moment for £210, including delivery.
So save over £100 and get this superb player now.
