I have this device, bought with the 160 Gb hard drive ready installed for a trouble free start. It's working great and has made my CD collection so much more enjoyable. Why then only 2 stars? The reason is that I had EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH mp3 FILES SKIPPING as the first reviewer.

It was returned and came back with a clean bill of health. I can say that the problem is due to downloaded album art which was done when ripping the CDs. If all the jpegs and thumb.db files are stripped out from the album folders in My Music the playback of mp3s is brilliant. This can take some time and the files are hidden system files. You can't delete them or even see them on the computer unless you enable viewing of these in Windows Explorer. ... Read More:
