I have owned 3 Archos PMP units now and bought this one due to its attractive price and really portable size with flash memory.
My impression of the sound quality is excellent. The sound is 'warmer' than an Ipod nano (which I own I am not an Ipod hater!).
The video performance whilst not as good as the Archos 605 is still very good and near DVD quality. I have now watched a couple of full length movies with no eyesight problems!
Although the flash memory is small at 2GB it is very cheaply upgradeable and I have currently a 4GB SD card installed.
I would agree with other reviewers buying the plug-ins is a pain but it is a well known issue on the internet, at least customers have the option. The docking unit is also really ... Read More:

Having read the above reviews from the DVR I do wonder if perhaps I have a faulty unit. The unit acts as a 'pass-through' when my Archos 704 wifi isn't docked, i.e. phono connection from recording source (there is a supplied Scart adaptor to convert from phono) and phono to Scart out (I can't understand why the phono connectors are all gold plated, but the scart connectors are not). Sat next to my Panasonic 32" LCD the picture quality is notably degraded on the TV, partuculary when seeing any text on the screen). Play back of recorded stuff on the Archos is reasonable enough, but I can't put up with the degraded picture quality on my TV for the bulk of the time when my Archos is not in use (The docking station does have S-video in/out which I have ... I bought this as a present for my little sister who is interested in photography. I was a little worried by poor reviews of this product on the internet, but was very pleased with the camera when it arrived.

It looks fantastic, with a glossy black finish and sleek modern design. The photo quality is also great, although it does not perform well in low-light conditions. Colour-reproduction is usually accurate - if a little dull...but then what more can you expect for a camera at this price?!

For the money, the camera is brilliant, and the SD card provided is enough to store all your snaps (although you can upgrade if needed). The video recording mode with built-in microphone is also a plus, although the sound quality is very tinny. ... Read More:

Like some kind of crazy fool I thought I,d buy 2 zen vision players (1 for whole albums, 1 for favourite tracks ) .They where so impressive at first I bought a z500 playdock too . However within 14 months both where what can best be described as useless. As useless as trying to get them fixed via the company and their equally abject website. The best fun you,ll have with these is when you hurl them at a wall . (honest !!!! ).

Im on my second vplus the first froze and had to be replaced,now the second one has gone wrong and I`m in the process of getting it fixed/replaced.I`m very disapointed as when it worked it was quite good,but if you use a mp3 alot the last thing you want to do is have to keep sending it away to be sorted!! I wont buy creative again!!!!

Bought the 555 Model a week ago very impressed. Did not have any problems loading software found it very straight forward I would say I have average technical knowledge. Only downsides were LCD screen allows 4 function options at a time and function options assigned to the LCD screen were not logically laid out but this was easy to remedy if a little time consuming. I decided to get another remote for downstairs and move the 555 upstairs. Decided on the 785. Very pleased with both, would recommend the 785 because of charging dock and larger LCD screen allowing 6 options at a time. Minor niggles on 785 are flimsy USB cover and no option to vary back lighting. Even taking into account these niggles easy 5 Star rating for both. I

Yes many of the reviews make valid negative points but I love this little toy which with the addition of a dvr station, is a fantastic and flexible recording propostion. Although if you have tv card in your computer not sure how really necessary it is. So far 1 week owned, no issues just lots of joy.

I think it is a bit confusing reading the description.It says its a dual screen dvd player but then it says double the fun with a second screen.So how many screens are there exactly?????
