Kensington Entertainment Dock 500 For iPod

Ordered through 'esaver' (one of the amazon additional buyer options) and was delivered promptly.

Very happy with the dock. Solid build quality. The dock adapter that came with my ipod (30gb video) fits straight into the base without having to fiddle about. The ipod feels well supported when docked.

The RF remote is fine. Works through walls (although I have limited need for this functionality!). I haven't tested the 50' claim but it works from any angle within the room, which is about all I need it to do.

Sound quality through the supply cable is good. Video quality is better than I expected it would be considering it is encoded video being watched on a large screen. The bundled lead can be plugged straight ... Read More:

Archos Docking Adapter - For 404/504/604

I recently bought a 405 30gb + Gen5 Video dock and was looking for a convenient charging device as I am shortly off to Greece for my hols. I didn't want to take the Video dock as it is, although light in weight, quite large!
This item does what I want it to do and more. I have transfered pictures from a Nikon using the cameras own USB lead. Also photos from a Canon camera using the docks lead with the smaller usb connector attached to the camera. Saves travelling with different leads doing the same job. I also found that the videos taken with the Canon (very good quality btw) also transferred perfectly. Indeed using the camera as a card reader any files can be downloaded to the unit. Logitech Harmony 785 Universal Remote Control

Bought the 555 Model a week ago very impressed. Did not have any problems loading software found it very straight forward I would say I have average technical knowledge. Only downsides were LCD screen allows 4 function options at a time and function options assigned to the LCD screen were not logically laid out but this was easy to remedy if a little time consuming. I decided to get another remote for downstairs and move the 555 upstairs. Decided on the 785. Very pleased with both, would recommend the 785 because of charging dock and larger LCD screen allowing 6 options at a time. Minor niggles on 785 are flimsy USB cover and no option to vary back lighting. Even taking into account these niggles easy 5 Star rating for both. I

I have had mine for over a year and it has never failed me once. Great for downloaded content, plays all sorts of files, fantastic screen for downloaded movies or TV. Fits in the back pocket and comes with me on all my travels. Buy a better set of headphones to really appreciate the music. Attatches to any TV. You can view and move the files via windows rather than the supplied software.

(This replaced my unreliable Ipod Nano)

I had an Archos Gmini 400 which got squashed in transit. I almost bought the 402 because I missed it so much but for £10 more I went for this.

I have absolutely no regrets.

The first thing to say which I have not seen mentioned anywhere is that you can play the video back through the TV with a simple lead. I used the one that was included in my Gmini pack and it is almost (but not 100%) DVD quality.

Second, it is very easy to burn your DVDs (only for your own use of course) and convert them into AVI files. Then the quality is wonderful.

the sound is excellent.

I bought an i-nique case and screen protector. The case is worth the £10 spent - really good as the case it comes with is unusuable it is so ... Read More:

Limited functionality makes it difficult to reach your preferred tracks.

Quite large for an mp3 player, and prompted my virus scanner to "go ape" when I first plugged it in. If you buy one be sure your PC security is up to date!

Archos 504 - 160GB Portable Media Player

Very pleased with the 504.

Plays just about everything out of the box - except MP4 & podcast, for which you need to buy codecs from Archos. They're device id specific, so pirate downloads won't work.

Bought it from Pixmania for about £100 less than the going rate, just over a year ago. Pixmania aren't that great at customer service - paid for express delivery, but with their messing about to verify identity, it took nearly 2 weeks to arrive.
