Both my parents and I have bought this radio. A DAB radio, from Pure, for £50? Brilliant. And it was for the first 6 months. Slowly but surely the sound quality disappeared. It's like when the power cable is touching the ariel and the sound is a little bubbly, and odd. Hell, we listen to alot of Radio 5 Live, so we're used to Alan Green sounding a little distant... Right now, the radio can't even scan for stations. The same happened for my folks. It's a real shame, because it's an awesome radio, especially for the price. I'd keep your receipt if I were you. (it's worth pointing out that I have two other Pure DAB radios that have been, for the past 3 years, utterly excellent. It's just worth spending a little bit more on it)...
I do a lot of presentations with my job, and wanted a reliable & simple means of controlling Powerpoint etc remotely. This does the job perfectly.
It's plug & Play (both on my XP machine, and also my MacBook) and has controls to enable you to: -
1. Move forward (i.e. page down in PPT)
2. Move backward (i.e. page up in PPT)
3. Blank the screen (i.e. pressing B in PPT)
4. Fire the laser pointer
It fits nicely into the hand, too, and the USB receiver stick clicks into the body of the handset for easy storage. Obviously it works for other applications, too, and not just Powerpoint. It just emulates the keypresses shown above, so you can view PDFs, Word docs etc in the same way. ... Read More:

Writing this 1 week after purchase and on the whole I am pleased with this unit. Spent weeks comparing this to the Klipsch etc, reading all reviews.... and in the end just gave up and went for this (the DAB clinched it).
Pros: very high quality weight and feel to it * Sound is very good (I was maybe expecting too much from reviews) * seperate BASS and Treble controls (I ramped the Bass up as i felt it was missing at default setting) * No transformer on lead (Didnt want an ugly brick sitting on worktop next to cable - cant remember which competitor has that on theirs?)
Cons: Thinking you are going to break the slide out dock when inserting the correct adaptor!!! * the increments in volume when increasing/decreasing could ... Read More:

I bought this product from pc world and to date has broken 2 IPod nano's in the same way (yes you are thinking that I am a bit "special" to repeat this mistake again) but i would still advise against this product

I left it 3 weeks before writing this so I'd have enough miles under my belt to test it properly and also the novelty of having it would have worn off. For the price I have to say I'm impressed. It isn't as clear as FM and the number of stations you can pick up can be disappointing (even with non-car DAB) but if you know this before buying you won't feel let down.
Setup tooks 5 mins and rather than sticking mount to the windscreen I ditched the idea altoghter and have the unit in the compartment between the front seats. Similarly I didn't stick the aerial to the windscreen - I just slotted it into the pocket on the rear of the drivers seat. This means I can use the power point in the back and there's minimal cable visible - sitting in the front you wouldn't ... Read More:

This is excellent value for money. As an amateur radio enthusiast I can recommend this receiver to anyone wishing to purchase their first wi-fi radio. Don't expect it to behave exactly like your domestic radio; as it is relatively slow to change from one station to another (partly dependent on your broadband speed). However even if you have only a passing interest in world radio this receiver will give you hours of fun; and of course there is recourse to hundreds of UK radio stations - ideal for those of us who wish to escape the bland output of the commercial multiplexes. Drawbacks for me include an over bright LED display which is liable to keep you awake at night if you have it on your bedside table. It has also 'crashed' on a couple of occasions requiring the unit ... Read More:

Logik 3 iStation alarm clock radio for ipod (black)
Wow what a product, since I bought it, I've never had to press the "Snooze" button, waking up to your own music is great! The remote is small but hey, on other reviews they don't tell you, it comes with MANY ipod docks so almost every ipod will fit comfortably, the remote has a hole to fit onto keyrings etc, music gradully gets louder when alarm goes off, the bass you get is unreal, not what i expected =D, you can use your ipod while it is plugged in (i.e. internet etc), it's a good size and I would recommend it to anyone who wants an ipod dock station, Buy this one, ive found no faults...(except you cant skip through playlists with your remote, it has to be done manually)...

I'd be dallying for a while about buying this or the Intempo DAB iPod dock and I am so glad I bought this one. It has great sound for such a relatively small system (I am sure the neighbours agree). I have literally just plugged in my iPod and it plays. The remote is great too - I can control the wheel with it which is great for being lazy! The DAB functionality is great too - I have already saved my favourite channels in the system.
Very easy to use, looks great, sounds amazing - no regrets (only that I didn't buy it sooner!).

My 2nd Pure Siesta in 8 months has just died with the same problem as the last one, the tuner will no longer pick up a radio station in both FM and DAB mode. This isn't particularly useful if you use the radio as an alarm as the alarm comes on and you get no sound to wake you!
When it works it is OK sound wise but no more and the DAB tuner sensitivity is only average too (my Roberts DAB radio pulls in more). Also if you are a snooze button user it is very easy to hit another button instead of the snooze, as they all feel the same, which disables the snooze feature completely. All in all probably the worst consumer electronics purchase I've ever made. I'm now off to look at getting a Roberts clock radio.
