I purchased the Bug about two years ago. My inital reason for buying it was because I wanted to record radio programmes whilst I was working. The then-recent v1.3beta EPG (Electronic Programme Guide)upgrade was also a major selling point. I would recommend getting the Bug, in part because it can be upgraded to become a 'Bug Too' (but with a far superior colour to its younger sibling), and because it is pretty much all you could ever hope for in a small radio. It looks cute too. My only concern was that its USB upgrade facility wasn't compatible with my computer (until a recent upgrade), and so had to upgrade via friends' computers.

Something I was looking for. It have all the features one can wish for from a 100£ small boom box. USB feature is the best one as I just have 22 different albums in it and still tons of space left in 2GB sony usb memory device. It plays it on and on with you need to interfere. Good sound quality.
bad points
1) it only plays sony usb ( as usual)
2) only supports mp3.( still any format can be converted to mp3 but if you are techi )
I bought this so I could surf one handed whilst a few feet away from my PC and it works really well for this with the trackball and trigger type buttons underneath. It's also a very comfortable desktop mouse too and seems to last for ages without needing to be put on the charging cradle. It was easy to set up and the removable sensor thingy and charging cable are a great touch for travelling.

My daughter got a pink one of these for Christmas and it is brilliant. It charges her ipod overnight, wakes her up to her favourite tunes and the sound is amazing for such a small device. Well worth it compared to other machines and small enough to allow other things on the bed-side cabinet. Buy one now!

Wow, well what can I say? This player is amazing.
Yes it's 200-odd quid, but for that you get:
1) Wide Range Of Functions
Audio playback of all sorts of formats (inc. MP3/OGG/WMA), video playback, photo viewing, DAB radio and FM radio - with recording of DAB/FM/mic(internal or external)/line in.
2) Control Over Sound
You've got 5 band eq (with presets or manual - and selection of frequency bands), BBE, extra bass, 3D surround and Stereo Enhancement. For recording, you can select multiple bit rates (32kbps->256kbps, with different settings for line in/voice/fm) and control the volumes for line in/voice.
3) Great Audio Quality
It sounds awesome. Real depth and range in the ... Read More:

The looks and the abilty to use a remote control to activate the radio when I am across the room really sold it to me and when I received it as a surprise gift the following week, you can imagine I was 'chuffed to bits'. Same problems as all the other reviewers. Switching between CD, FM and DAB was a little slow and the dimmer light, not dim enough but I thought, I'd become used to that. Unfortunately the increading volume on alarm made me send back model No.1 for a replacement. Model No. 2 I found was the same so, not wanting to be a Rachel from Friends and return the gift for a refund,I kind of programmed myself to wake 1 minute before the alarm went off! The CD stopped working after 13 months of ownership (12 months warranty). Finally the ... Read More:

It's not a bad product in general and I'm reasonably happy with it. It looks great and the weather and clock functions are accurate enough for me. I placed my weather sensor outdoors facing North to get a better reading in general and with this was able to "rotate" (in unit application) the readings to get a constant more accurate output on indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. The negatives for me are (hence the 3 star) the need to unplug the unit from the mains to turn off the weather indicator (little light top left corner that indicates by colour code the weather type ie sunny, rainy, snow etc). If the unit is plugged in this is constantly on and is so bright it lights up a dark room. In this instance you need battery power which then turns this light ... Read More:
