Ive owned the terrain 550 and latitude 100, but neither of them is as good as this. This unit has so many channels compared to the terrain and can be used at a greater distance then them units aswell.
These great devices are ideal for any holiday when a mobile phone just doesn't cut it, especially when phone bills are so so expensive abroad. I took these to the greek islands last week, and got excellent reception at no phone bill cost. Last year I paid over £300 phone bill cost when abroad with a group of friends. The wt87 screams instant, cheap, intriguingly interesting form of communication in UK and Abroad. Sometimes I use it to go to local shopping centres here at home aswell
I also give these two walkie talkies ... Read More:

At last I can listen to Five Live whilst out and about without having to buy a big portable DAB Radio (I hate having too much clutter on me!). The iDab was easy to set up, I found all the stations I needed by pressing the up and down buttons on the side. The sound quality is superb and I was a little wary as a previous review said it wasn't so good, I obviously thought this strange as this would be more to do with either the speakers or headphones that the DAB was being played through?!?! I must have been right as the sound quality was great through my Shure headphones. Very happy with it!

After spending time researching which product to buy, I opted for this. I have to say that the output quality is great value at this price. The combination of functionality as a clear alarm clock with combined radio is not unique, but when combined with the sound quality makes much more expensive offerings seem ordinary in comparison.

I bought one of these for my mother who lives out in the sticks where FM signal is poor. I knew that DAB signal was good as I have a set in my car which works well. She wasn't disappointed! She uses it mainly for Radio 4 and the sound fills a quite substantial kitchen, the controls are very easy to use - the simplicity for her was the killer app!
So a couple of months later, the backlight failed on my kitchen DAB, (not a Pure) so the ideal replacement.
Our two year old can't tell the time and come summer time, was getting up around 5am, despite the blackout curtains. We decided to try this clock and it had the desired effect. We gradually got her up to 6:30 which was fantastic.
However, the device is mechanical and so if you set the alarm for 6:30 and your child is still asleep (rare I might add), then the loud "clunk" as the rabbit wakes up will almost certaing wake up the child.
Also, the alarm setting works on the 12 hour clock, so if you want to set the clock for 7:00, you won't be able to set if until about 19:15 as it's a bit sensitive.
Overall, a good idea, but would have been much better if the waking rabbit was not mechanical, and you could set the ... Read More:

When I bought the radio I thought it looked a bit plasticy and some of the buttons a bit chunky but I have got used to it and its grown on me.
The sound quality is great but the wind up function is only of any practical use when using it in FM mode. So I never use the wind up.
The main feature is that you can fully charge the radio and then use it in DAB mode for up to 6 hours of use. This makes it an ideal bathroom radio or emergency entertainment when you have a power cut (which I experienced in January 2008).
The Freeplay radio is easy to operate which you would expect however, I purchased a different rechargeable radio for the second bathroom and even though it looks great its not obvious what the buttons actually ... Read More:

Nice little internet radio / media player.
Bought it for my wife who loves it. She is able to listen to all her music I put onto our UPNP media server.
We have it connected via a wireless router so one may take it anywhere round the house where there's a 13Amp socket and in range of the router.
Only locked-up/software crash once in the three months she's owned it. Don't think it liked my internet connection being interrupted whilst listening to an internet radio station.
Mono speaker a bit poor, but it does have RCA left and right stereo outputs to connect to ones Hi-Fi if you need better sound quality.

I like this walkie-talkie, I think it is a little bigger, better and clearer than some others. But I want to make a comment about the headsets - they are hard to find like other people have mentioned. It is not the standard 2.5+3.5 jacks side by side used by most.
It is a single 'stereo' 2.5mm jack plug, ie. smaller than the one you would find on an MP3 player. Tip is Microphone, ring is Speaker, and base is Common.
As it is, voice activation (VOX) or the radio's push-to-talk (PTT) button could be used to transmit, or if your headset has a PTT button (usually a 2.2Kohm resistor in series with the switch, connected between tip and base), this should then start transmitting if pressed.
I ordered a Motorola T-series headset with 2.5mm jack because ... Read More:

I was looking for an alarm clock and an ipod speaker stand - saw this and thought I'd combine the two!
The unit works straight out the box and set up is a doddle, the speaker is on a scale of 1 (soft) - 40 (mental) and the system is a nice piano black with a nice and bright face (4 settings) that can be turned off or light up the room bright.
It has 2 alarms so you can set one for you and one for someone else, and you can wake to the radio/buzzer/ipod. If you want to wake up to the ipod you must leave it plugged in - in play mode. It will also charge your ipod whilst it is docked.
It has various adaptors that will fit virtually any ipod (even my 3rd generation nano which it says its doesn't!) and a aerial for the radio.
