Our old dyson just broke, after 5 years heavy domestic use. We decided to upgrade to the 'ball' dyson, and are delighted with its performance. It is lighter for me to take upstairs and quieter than our last. It gets under the front of the sofa easily.

My husband has offered that he thinks that the downside could be that it has a smaller dust tank, and probably a shorter lead than our previous one. I think he's right, but I don't mind about the tank cos its his job to empty it.

I have given it 5 stars because of its impressive suction, and fantastic manoeuvrability over our last model. With a generous 5 year guarantee, can't see how we can go wrong.

I love my Dyson. It's so light and simple to use. The ball makes it so easy to move and I feel like I'm dancing rather than Hoovering! It's easy to fit together when you first get it with the instructions being really easy to understand.

It's just as good as a full size dyson but with the added benefit of it being easier to store due to it's collapsable handle. It's really great on the stairs because of it's light weight.

Really worth the money and by far Amazon has the best prices around for this one.

Panasonic SD255 breadmaker with raisin/nut dispenser

I was very excited about the first few loaves I produced with this breadmaker, however after 6 or 8 very successful experiences, suddenly all that came out was a flat, soggy, unmixed cooked blob - three times in a row, doing everything the same as had worked before. I noticed that the paddles were very loose and from what came out can only surmise that the turning mechanism stopped working. Customer care at Panasonic were absolutely no help, so I had no alternative but to return it to Amazon.

Yes I would agree with the previous comment, luckily we purchased everything from Characters 4 Kids, they don't charge postage to the whole of the UK so this was great. We bought the duvet, curtains, lamp, bin and the light shade from them on Amazon and didn't pay a penny on postage. All came well packed and in one package.

BALANZZA LUGGAGE / SUITCASE WEIGH SCALE

Previous reviews sum things up pretty well. Simple to use. The fact that the weight is displayed after putting the item down is a great improvement over using conventional spring balance and attempting to read it 'loaded'.
When I first used it I had the peculiar experience of the scale displaying exactly the same weight for a bag twice, but when I removed items the weight actually increased!!
I've used it again since, over a number of days, and now the weight remains consistent. I can only put it down to the scale 'setting down'.
Airport scales confirmed the accuracy of the Balanzza Scale. My home measurement gave 19.7kg and the airport scales 20.0kg. I don't think that is a significant difference. Also no recurrence ... Read More:

Had mine for several months now been very reliable but recently has started to slow down even with new batteries I would assume it's wearing out, shame
One suggestion It's a shame it is white in colour as it very quickly gets stained when opening tins of beans, soup etc manufactures let's have a black one next time.

Salter Slim Design Electronic Platform Kitchen Scale Black

I have only had these scales a few weeks, but i think they are brilliant. I only wish i had bought them ages ago. They make cooking so easy. The scales are so self explanatory that no instrustions are required.
They are slim and so easy to store away.
Only problem is im baking cakes all the time now, just to have an excuse to use my scales.
Money well spent.
