Oven cleaner had removed the heat settings from my oven so the last few years i have had to guess how hot it is. I finally decided to purchase an oven thermometer. Having looked at the ones on offer, some of which had bad reviews i decided to go for a cheap option so if it didn't work i could bin it with no serious loss. This arrived today and i have just tested it. My oven goes to 220 and the thermometer confirms this. It also hangs between the oven tray without any problems. What more can you ask for, does as it says.

i have been using these in my bird rooms they are perfectly adaquate for an estimate of humidity if you have a seperate accurate one they can be set easily

This thermometer is designed to warn you if your fridge or freezer goes above or below the recommended temperatures for food storage. It does this by bleeping and flashing every 5 minutes when it detects a rise or fall in temperature beyond the preset range of +2 to +8 degrees C for a fridge, for example, until such time as the temperature again falls into the desired range. TALA JAM THERMOMETER TALA

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. Used it for making toffee. Afterwards I let it sit in some warm water. Amazingly the ink had sloughed off the thermometer - and that was without even trying to 'clean' it! Totally fed up with this - have bought 3 of these in the past and they have all ended up this way. Not Fit for Purpose. Don't the manufacturers of these realise that?
Get me an old-fashioned engraved one anyday. I would pay a good amount of money if I thought that I could get a decent, engraved one.
Is this asking too much? aaargghhhhhh... I wish Amazon would let you put zero stars...
