This was delivered in record time by amazon and with free delivery. The machine itself excels in every way even after my DC07 had been over the carpets this still found a lot more to pick up. Needless to say the DC07 has been given to one of my daughters. Now that Dyson give a five year guarantee it is unbeatable for value.

There is a golden rule of life which I has been ably demonstrated to me and this is another example where you do in fact get more for paying more. The 255 is the most expensive breadmaker on the market by far. I have had 3 breadmakers before finally splashing out £88 (Amazon) for the Rolls Royce model. It is built better than any other and runs very quiet. So quiet that you could actually set this to come on at 4 in the morning to give you a fresh laof in the morning without it waking you up through the ceiling! The Prima, Morphy Richards and Biffnett models I have tried would have certainly been an unwelcome alarm clock.

When our second Dyson expired after 7 years service,(the flex shorted out in the machine),we decided, as our new place is smaller with wooden floors downstairs,to replace it with a cheaper machine.Big mistake!,we hated it from day one.Noisy, heavy,awkward, inefficient, filters kept clogging. so when after 6 wks it stopped working it was a cause for celebration, got our money back from Argos and bought a DC24.
I chose it for its lightness,but still got a surprise when we unpacked it at how small it seemed.
This is a powerful machine though, the first time I used it the cylinder was half full of hairs and dust, the residue in the carpets and rugs that our previous "new cleaner" had failed to collect.

Yes I would agree with the previous comment, luckily we purchased everything from Characters 4 Kids, they don't charge postage to the whole of the UK so this was great. We bought the duvet, curtains, lamp, bin and the light shade from them on Amazon and didn't pay a penny on postage. All came well packed and in one package.

Hi purchased these luggage scales recently for a holiday to orlando florida.They were absolutely brilliant,very easy to use and accurate.We used them on the journey home to make sure we were not carrying too much hold or hand luggage, which in todays climate where air carriers are eager to screw every penny from passengers for excess luggage they were invaluable

I got one on sale last year & was a bit sceptical of the format, but have come to rely on it. With my son now in school and daughter interested in trying dance classes, it's great to keep track of every little thing that my tired brain (also have 4 mo. old) needs to keep track of. The spaces are more horizontal than vertical so have more room to write what's needed. I have a different colored marker for each of us & used the extra column for general info. or festivals or other activities we might want to do. Athough I would be picky about having a tradition format calendar that starts on Sunday, and never got the hang of those kind that have the days on the left, this one is easy to adapt to, and helps show the children how far away something is since it's linear. ... One suggestion It's a shame it is white in colour as it very quickly gets stained when opening tins of beans, soup etc manufactures let's have a black one next time.
