I am a new fan of Libera and am certainly not dissapointed. I heard them on a chat show on TV and immediately ordered the CD. I have had to wait a while for it - almost two months - but wow! was the wait worth it. The Solos are second to none, these boys have awesome voices. I will order some of the earlier CD's and am finding othert reviews very helpful in this. I would love to hear them sing The Wind Beneath My Wings. Ever hopeful.

There are few occasions these days where music will take your emotions to the depths of despair and up to the highest cloud and back before the album is finished. Mostly this happens in film soundtracks and Hannibal is easily one of the finest. There is humour, sadness, heart-pounding atmosphere and some pieces that will make your heart sing and sent your soul alight as the finest music does, and should. The highlight of the album is Vide cor Meum by Patrick Cassidy - the album is worth buying for this alone. When I first watched the film I became determined to discover which great opera that piece was from, not realising that it was written specially for the film. Rarely will you find a piece of music that makes you want to simply sit back, ... Read More:

I never buy albums but Libera have made me want to buy all of theirs! Their voices are angelic! after i heard them for the first time, i never found a choral group who could sing as well as Libera! This is truly one of Libera's best albums! I recommend these songs:
-Sanctus
-Ave Maria
-Salva Me
-Voca Me
...especially 'Voca Me' and 'Salva Me'. There aren't any downsides to their music...unless you hate classical music...

I recently purchased this CD for my Mum for Christmas because she kept banging on about how good they were. I had never even heard of Libera before I bought it. I have to say though, Mum was right. I am now a bigger fan than she is. The music and singing on this CD is absolutely georgeous. It has to be the most relaxing music I have ever heard. I urge anyone to buy it - I love all types of music myself and I am sure that a true music lover would not be disappointed with this CD.

As one who has only recently discovered Libera by seeing the 'Vespera' video on Classic FM TV, I visited their website, more through curiosity than anything else. After hearing some of the audio clips and seeing their videos, I felt I had to purchase the 'Luminosa' CD. I can honestly say that the music on that disc is the most moving and emotional I have ever heard. I defy anyone to listen to it and still have dry eyes at the end! The sheer beauty of the music and the complexity of the harmonies - particularly when one remembers that the boys are all aged 7 to 14 - takes you on an emotional journey that has to be experienced.
I did not intend to buy this CD. In fact, I was not even aware of its existance. I was actually aiming for a DVD with a similar title but due to a slip of the mouse and various brain cells that have perished with age, I ended up with this album. But, boy, what a great mistake to have made! Whoever was guiding my erroneous hand that day has my eternal thanks. I am also grateful to whoever designed the sleeve to this excellent cd. Had it not clearly born the legend 'In Concert', I would have sworn that is was yet another studio masterpiece by this excellent group of boys. The performance, production and general feel of this cd is nothing short of magical and is of the quality expected after hours of studio wizardry. Yes, I know that there are 'tricks of the trade' that are ... Read More:

Having spent most of my life involved with music in one way or another, I had always maintained that there were only ever two types of music: the GOOD and the BAD. I was wrong; I had forgotten about the EXQUISITE! And this CD certainly falls into that category.
If, like me, you have two sons and two grandsons, you will know that, when they’re not asking for money, there is no finer sound than boys’ voices. The boys of Libera are aged from seven to fourteen and so contain the full range from the high treble of the youngsters to the deeper tones of the early teens. This is used to amazing effect by their writer, arranger and conductor Robert Prizeman, whose genius produces the most stunning sound I have ever heard on a recording. The beauty of ‘Lux ... I discovered these angels on Classic FM and have listened to them regularly ever since. I'm not a religious person, but this is music for the soul. I listen to them a great deal and at times of stress they are a great comfort and I find anxieties just melt away, what more could you ask for. Buy them you won't be disappointed they are simply the best of this genre.

I cannot recommend this CD highly enough - I purchased the cd after hearing the sample 'o holy night' featuring the young Aled in duet with himself. My search was for a 'male choir' vocal rendition of this classic hymn,(as featured on the t.v. programme 'The West Wing'). However, having been extremely dissapointed with the Pavarotti version of 'o holy night', and as I am not the greatest fan of popular Christmas Carols, I purchased the Aled Jones version very much a 'last resort'. I remembered Aled singing 'walking in the air' and expected to be dissapointed with the 'older Aled' matured voice, but was delighted to discover a wondeful singer, and a performer of true talent and emotion. I cannot remember a previous occassion when I brought a CD for a particular track ... Read More:
