Have you ever opened a gift to find it is totally not the sort of gift you liked to receive. You wonder who bought it you and why ? Then you get that feeling of embarrassment. Well, this is how I felt when I saw this item. Firstly, it looks so much like a pen, it really needed to have one built into it, to make it worth its while. The LED flashlight is pretty hopeless, the item looks cheap and plasticy because it is just that !

Most of the Dr. Who tie in stuff I've seen has been pretty well finished, epsecially the Daleks. This item is far from that and if you were considering buying one for a kid, I'd forget it and opt for one of the other sonic screwdrivers on the market.

I bought the Harry Potter version of this for my son and we really enjoyed it for a while, then it kind of lost its appeal and we could outwit it most of the time. So I thought I'd get this and see how we got on. The first ten items I thought of it didn't guess!! And they were pretty obvious things... picture frame, domino, sweetcorn, golf club etc I was trying to answer them very obviously but some of the questions it asked were pointless and we were really disapointed. I don't think the aim of this is to try to thin of things it WILL get rather than what it WON'T! Big disapointment I'm afraid after the Harry potter one!

password journal 5 is so cool. It's so fun and it is really girly you will love it. There is so much stuff you can do in it and it does what it tells you to do and it recognises my voice. The only thing that bothers me is the price: no i would not give it 10/10 for the price but it still is so cool. You will love it and it will keep you busy all day.

Shocking - Shock Ball

This ball is so much fun. The shock you get depends on where it touches you. It's very durable, i've dropped it lots and it's still working. You can play so many games with it like, hot potato and you can put the ball on different parts of your body. It's well worth £15, it makes you laugh. I expected it to be bigger but when you play with it you can see why they have made it smaller.

Bop It Extreme 2

This is a great because it has 3 different modes and it is very addictive. Apart from being addictive because it is so fun and rythmic, it is also addictive because when you have got a really high score, you will constantly try to beat it, just like I did ;). I don't know whether this is just me, but I think bopit can improve your rythmic skills because you are following the commands in time with the music.
It can become annoying to others while you're playing it but this has a ear-phone plug, very convienient.

I bought this for my sister who was a huge fan of the original rubik's cube back in the 80s, but once she'd opened it and I got my hands on it I'm afraid she didn't get a look in! It is addictive and I'm still trying to justify buying one for myself... I think it might just take over my life!!! Anyone you buy this for will love it!

Just bought this for my daughter, Lucy, who is 5. We've had a great time with it - the games last just the right amount of time, so we didn't have half the players drifting off to do something else halfway through (if you've ever played Mousetrap or Cluedo with young children, you'll know what I mean). Mindful of the dire warnings posted by previous reviewers, I have warned my children that they should NEVER pass a REAL ticking bomb to someone else as part of a comical word game. I think they understood.
