The presentation of these beads is colourful, attractive and durable. The beads are likewise attractive to young girls. They make a much appreciated birthday present for all those school friend parties they start going to in Reception. Funnily enough that is how we came by our first box of these beads.

Interestingly, perhaps because they are wood and not plastic(?), or maybe because of the great box, we have managed to keep both of our sets intact. I can not say the same for the plastic bead sets we've been given.

A real all round winner.

Velociraptor - Woodcraft Construction Kit

If you are buying this item, I suggest to buy some wood glue with it. The velociraptor looks very good when its finished, but it breaks VERY easily(the tip of the tail breaks, and nearly anything to do with the legs or feet breaks). It is quite fun to make but certain pieces keep falling off. If you are a patient person this is for you, if not then don't buy it.

Apache - Woodcraft Construction Kit

If you are buying this item, I suggest to buy some wood glue with it. We gave this to our daughter for her 6th birthday. She is learning to read and write so this set, with it's upper and lower case is fantastic. She is stamping her Christmas thankyou letters! We also gave her a badge making kit, and she's making badges for her friends with their names on them. It's great as she has to concentrate on the spelling, and is more likely to get them right as it takes time to select each letter, rather than writing. They look lovely on a page and she's really enjoying it.
Our older 8yr old boy loves doing it too.
