Five stars for the product, no stars at all for BT's customer support.

The product is great - I've owned a cheaper baby monitor and it wasn't worth having because of interference. This one has all the features you need and you don't have to listen to buzzing all evening!

But... the one I bought was faulty - the mute feature wouldn't turn off (intermittently) so the baby yelled and we heard nothing. BT offer an email support service which they simply ignore and a helpline number which (while free - they've changed it from 0870: good!) isn't answered within any reasonable time. So buy the product, check it works (took us 2 weeks to be sure ours didn't) and be comforted by the fact that Amazon has a great returns process ... Read More:

Fisher-Price Sounds 'n Lights Baby Monitor

It's cheap but then after 2 months it's already broken!
First the charger was broken then followed with the monitor. Now it's not working altogether. Plus when it was working, it wasn't giving the clear signal. So all in all, this is not a good buy.

Grobag Egg

We have had an egg for a couple of years now. Our daughters bedroom is subject to extreme temp changes and we needed to be able to see what the temperature was in the dark. The egg seemed to be the perfect solution, and it has been. It has a lovely glow as a night light, and it has always been accurate enough to warn us when we need to open her windows (summer time!) or put extra blankets over her (sometimes her room becomes so cold that we have to put the heating on in the middle of the night!).
If you live in a modern home with proper central heating and insulation, then you probably don't really need a bedroom thermometer (or perhaps you'll be one of these people worrying about a thermometer being one or two degrees out!), but if you are ... Read More:

My First Ready Bed - Thomas & Friends

I ordered the ready bed for my son who is 2 1/2 to use while we are staying at the grandparents as he loves Thomas.
We had great fun blowing it up and it looked lovely. The problems came once he got in it as we found he was already too big for it!
We both were very dissapointed it was not bigger as the decription said up to 4 years old. Having said that he is pretty much the same size as his 4 year old cousin but I always thought he was a bit small.
I have now got the junior size ready bed and that looks like it should last him a while.
The Thomas bed is great if you have small kids but if yours are bigger than average go for the Junior Ready Beds.

It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep. But as the other reviewers have said, this was far too loud and the slightest noise reactivated it - it woke the baby up and us in the next room! Aside from this the projected image is unclear (had no idea what it was meant to be) Looking at the box gives you the false impression that all sorts of wonderful images are projected round the room...

Do yourselves a favour and buy the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow, we've been using it 6 months now and it still brings a smile to our babies face when we switch it on for bedtime.

I don't understand how Tomy got it so wrong with this one.

I bought this toy when my son was a few months old to give him some interest in the bath. He's 14 months and still has it in every bathtime. It's endure teething, being thrown, dunked, you name it! It's magnets mean he can re-arrange them and each ball offers a different interest to explore.

WE HAVE AN OLD TOMY WALKABOUT DIGITAL THAT HAS JUST STARTED TO PLAY UP, WELL IT HAS BEEN IN CONSTANT USE FOR 5 YEARS, AND IT NEEDS A SQUEEZE TO CORRECT IT, WELL NOW WE HAVE OUR 3RD BABY WE DECIDED TO PURCHASE WHAT WE THOUGHT WOULD BE A MORE ADVANCED MODEL - NOT THE CASE. THE CONCEPT OF THE TALK BACK FACILITY WAS GREAT BUT THE CONSTANT INTERFERENCE ON IT WAS UNBEARABLE, WE CHANGED THE SETTINGS ON IT SO WE DIDNT HAVE IT ON SUCH A SENSITIVE SETTING BUT THEN THE TALKBACK FACILITY DIDNT PICK UP CLEARLY WHAT WAS BEING SAID. WE NEEDED IT ON SENSITIVE AS WE HAVE A 2 1/2 YEAR OLD WHO FALLS OUT OF BED AND OBVIOUSLY NEEDED TO HEAR THE BUMP! We bought this baby monitor for use while staying with my parents. We went for something cheap but have been very impressed with the quality of sound and range of this one. Worked well even though we were downstairs and several rooms away. Baby unit needs to be plugged in but parent unit can be plugged in or used in battery mode. You need to buy 3 AA batteries for it though.

E Coast Symphony Motions Remote Control Mobile

We bought this for my son before he was born and used the whole unit until he began to try to pull the animals off. Then, we just took the stick with the mobile off and left the musical control unit in the cot. He is 1.5 years old now and loves to turn the music on in the morning (he really loves the Bach tune, in particular).
Now I am faced with the decision of which mobile to buy for the second child because I cannot take away his little music box - even though he doesn't care about the mobile anymore!

It is a great buy, though. The batteries last for a very long time. I think we've only changed them twice in my son's lifetime!
