My First Ready Bed - Thomas & Friends

I ordered the ready bed for my son who is 2 1/2 to use while we are staying at the grandparents as he loves Thomas.
We had great fun blowing it up and it looked lovely. The problems came once he got in it as we found he was already too big for it!
We both were very dissapointed it was not bigger as the decription said up to 4 years old. Having said that he is pretty much the same size as his 4 year old cousin but I always thought he was a bit small.
I have now got the junior size ready bed and that looks like it should last him a while.
The Thomas bed is great if you have small kids but if yours are bigger than average go for the Junior Ready Beds.

Rush Hour Traffic Jam Puzzle

Bought this for my son for christmas. Thought it might be too difficult for him as he wasn't 5 until end Jan. However after only a little while he could easily do the beginners section! He really enjoys the game and concentrates quite hard whilst doing it! Great game would highly recommend!

Double Sided Book

I've never bothered to attach this to my daughters cot as it's great to have it in any room she happens to be in. Due to the way the book is folded, which I initially thought was one fold too few, I initially found that it was ideal to stand up on the floor beside her head and later placed across where my daughter is laying down like a bridge so that she could look up at the black and white pictures. She is now just over four months old and moves it around looking at both sides and uses the ties designed to attach it to the cot for extra leverage. The best toy she's had to date, no wonder it is so often out of stock.

I can't recommend this toy enough!!

Lamaze - Balancing Bug Stacker

I bought this toy as i was looking for something a bit different from the whoozit type soft toys for my 8 month old. It has not disappointed. The 6 bugs are all brightly coloured with various legs, wings etc for little ones to grab hold of. They each contain a magnet which not only enables them to stick together in a totem pole effect but also produces a not too loud rattle in each one. They are neither too heavy nor too big for the littlest hands to pick up and they will love knocking down the towers that you have carefully constructed as well as banging pairs together and ultimately building their own towers, naming the bugs, learning colours etc. My only, very small criticism is that i assume one of the bugs to be a spider but it only has ... I bought this dolly for my daughter Katie who was at the time just two months ols but is now four months and she absolutely loves her! Emily is well loved and chewed almost everyday. The teething rings are a blessing and when we eventually found the squeak Katie would not let her go. Purcahse with confindence your baby will love it too!

We bought one of these classic toys for our 7 year old. It was great for a couple of weeks until the vertical movement jammed. We sent off for a new one from the suppliers but it never arrived. Took three follow up phone calls and an extremely irate fax to get any response from the suppliers who finally supplied a new one nine months after the first one broke!

The quality of new models is not as good as the ones I remember when I was a kid. The plastic is not as strong and is more brittle. It can be cracked if dropped. The mechanism is not as good either. The knobs are more difficult to hold because they're smaller (not just because I'm older!) and are not as smooth in use.

As a toy it's still good fun but I felt let down ... Read More:
