I must admit when I first saw this range in the shop I thought 'another Lego franchise money spinner'. In recent years Lego has become more or less a movie franchise vehicle and it's not easy to find plain ordinary Lego these days. However, my son was really keen on it and was bought a larger kit for his birthday - which he played with so much I had no objections to him using his own money to buy this smaller kit too.

The 'Jungle Duel' kit is great value for money, it is one of the cheapest sets you can get but has 3 figures (Indy, Spalko and Mutt - complete with expressions), a tent, a table which splits during fights, a collection of swords, and lots of other tiny additions (including strangely, a banana). Ideal for High School Musical fans. These cards are a perfect little gift for HSM fans. In the male dominated world of Top Trumps it is nice to be able to buy them for girls too. These were certainly a well appreciated item for my 7 year old girl. They are great as they are small enough to take to school and at 99p inexpensive too. At this price they would make ideal party bag fillers.

My little boy has had these since he was one and were now on our second set.He loves colouring and drawing so these are perfect.When they came i thought they would be longer but in fact they are just the right size for little hands.And he loves it even more now he can tell me the colours of them.

LEGO Indiana Jones 7625: River Chase

This Lego Indy set gives a little insight into the movie merchandising business - namely that a large proportion of the set does not even feature in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

There is no Russian dinghy or tree/net combo in the movie, although perhaps there was at one time before scenes were cut. Anyway, the DUKW-style vehicle in this set is very good and well detailed, as are all the other parts. It's all easy to put together and good fun for my kids to build and play with (children may need a little help with the fiddly stickers).

The net trap is a good play device and there is a generous four minifigs, featuring two Russian soldiers, Marion Ravenwood and Indiana Jones. The latter is surely one of Lego's greatest creations ... Read More:

VTech Dora the Explorer Laptop

I Bought this as a Christmas present for my neice. I knew she liked Dora so that was a plus already. When she unwrapped it she screamed her head off because she had wanted it for ages but her parents couldn't afford it. Anyway she was 3 years old and was starting school the next year. Now she is 5 and everytime I see her she speaks to me in Spanish. She says 'Ola' and 'Gracias' She can even say thankyou and Your Welcome. I Reccomend this to all the little kids out there that are aged 3 - 7 years old. The other review about the screen being black and white.. well I ont think it matters. You can still see it and the keyboard is fine because the school my neice ad daughter go to they teach the kids Capital and small letters so anyone could understand it. She takes ... Read More:
