This is an extremely useful addition to any Lego collection.

Not only does it hold bits of Lego still making them easier to be added to, it encourages 3-D building for children who have a tendency to build 2-D 'towers'.

Can be linked together with other plates of the same or different colours to create towns, beaches etc. and stretch young imaginations.

Also very useful when you are putting Lego away. Just stick all the blocks onto the board and you have a solid lump of Lego, reducing the loss of small parts.

I brought this for my little brother. The picture makes it looks really big, so when a tiny package arrived, i was quite surprised. I don't think this is worth the £20 it cost to buy, although it does keep him entertained for ages trying tp put it together.

Lots of bricks but lacks other parts that would improve the fun and flexibility. There are no wheels or bases included in this selection and too few long sections. It's a good size box if you only want the bricks, but to really be useful and creative you will need to add other Lego packs. Overall slightly disappointing.

I have to admit that I found this rather fun. I bought it for my little girl, who has outgrown her duplo bricks. You can make allsorts with it (literally, if you are that way inclined!) and it also comes with a guide to a load of suggested models.

I ignored the guide book and built my girl a car. You get a few wheels etc so it can actually be pushed around. I wish my parents had got me this sort of stuff when I was a kid. I got handmedowns though, with all the good pieces already lost.

Um, enough about me. My daughter loves it. The only slight criticism is that the supplied baseplate is a bit small. That really is a minor quibble though. There is an awful lot of lego in this box.
