Classic Pop-Up Toy

i was enthusiastic about this toy based on the reviews, however I was disappointed when I received it. The pegs sit on a metal base to make them bounce and some of the metal seems to come off onto the bottom of the peg. That means i'm unhappy leaving the toy with my baby unless i'm watching as i don't want him to put the pegs in his mouth. That means that this toy isn't used as much as i'd hoped.

Lamaze - Peek-A-Boo Surprise Cube

My 3 month old daughter shows more and more interest in this. She is fascinated by it. She seems to like a lot of the Lamaze products. Her other favourite Lamaze toy is the Peacock.
My friend has a six month old son who also seems to like it. I would definitely recommend this.

Medela Swing Breast Pump

I originally rented the Medela Symphony, the heavy duty one from the hospital. It was excellent in so many ways, except for the price. I mostly breastfeed, but like to have the option, so I decided to go for this one. Overall, it is a great little pump. It takes a while to pump and isn't as powerful as the Symphony, but that's to be expected. I did try the battery option and it goes through them very fast. This is really best if you are out and about, away from an electrical outlet. The only thing I just cannot understand about this pump is the little tube that goes into the bottle is triangular while the bottle insert is circular. This is minor, but a design flaw. It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep. But as the other reviewers have said, this was far too loud and the slightest noise reactivated it - it woke the baby up and us in the next room! Aside from this the projected image is unclear (had no idea what it was meant to be) Looking at the box gives you the false impression that all sorts of wonderful images are projected round the room...

Do yourselves a favour and buy the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow, we've been using it 6 months now and it still brings a smile to our babies face when we switch it on for bedtime.

This is compatible with the take along thomas range of trains and playsets as it comes with adapter pieces which fit the larger track parts on some of the playsets.
I have the Sodor Mine and engine shed, using the adapters it all works well together.

Tomy Choo Choo Loop

When I first got this, I was initially disappointed at the size. The picture doesn't really give you an idea, and I suppose I was thinking the train itself would be chunky and big. In fact, it's a fair size, but quite dinky. The loop, when setup, is about 12" across and the train is about 3" long.

This is quite entertaining for the kids. Mine got it when she was 9 months old, and she still plays with it, even if it's only for a few minutes at a time.
