I bought maternity trousers and the ones for work were a really good fit but the jeans kept sliding down.
I got this so i could wear my normal jeans and its great! I was a bit dubious that it would work but the trousers really stay up! If you put on the smaller size one there is no need to use the fabric so instead of feeling exposed i wear with the belly band and its a great combo. Hopefully i wont have to buy any more new trousers!

Closer To Nature Electric Steriliser

I bought this steriliser to use with Tommy Tippee bottles - then changed my mind about the bottles and used it with Bornfree bottles. I have found it to be highly effective. Every steriliser has a limit on what it will hold but this one has proven more than sufficient for my needs. It takes a little more than 5 minutes to complete a cycle; 5 minutes is the sterilising time, but in addition it heats up and cools. Saying that it 'cools' is a bit of a misnomer - open the steriliser after the cooling period is over and you will find everything far to hot to use. Timing is therefore essential. From my perspective this is a minor issue. The steriliser is compact and does the job - which is what I needed from a steriliser!

It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep. But as the other reviewers have said, this was far too loud and the slightest noise reactivated it - it woke the baby up and us in the next room! Aside from this the projected image is unclear (had no idea what it was meant to be) Looking at the box gives you the false impression that all sorts of wonderful images are projected round the room...

Do yourselves a favour and buy the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow, we've been using it 6 months now and it still brings a smile to our babies face when we switch it on for bedtime.

Tomy Walkabout Platinum Digital Baby Monitor

Pros:
+Locks signal quickly
+Thermometer is useful and reasonbly accurate
+Digital so no interference (our Analog unit was abysmal)
+Good support from Tomy
+Useful to be able to communicate with Mum when she's feeding the sprog & I'm cooking dinner.
+Good sound.
Cons
-The style looks cute and chubby in the shop. But the ergonomics are rubbish. The buttons are way too easy to press. (Including the on button). The belt clip is useless.
-Replacement battery is 3 NiMH AAA cells in a custom pack&plug for an extortionate £13

Fridge Phonics

My daughters are 3 and know most of the letters of the alphabet but not all. They are showing a real interest in learning to read and so I thought this might be an easy way of helping them to learn the rest of the letters. Although the picture shows the letters as upper case, when it arrived it had the lower case letters, which was actually what I would have preferred (the product advertised with lower case couldn't be delivered to Germany). I think this toy will help them learn their letters but I have a couple of reservations: 1) it does both the name and sound of the letters, which I think is a bit confusing, especially as some letters have 2 sounds. 2) It is sometimes a bit difficult to make out the sound properly so that some sounds are similar. ... Brought this for my son when he was a baby. He is now 6 and I have given the playnest away but it is a very good baby aid. He was able to sit and play with ease. He would not slump doen and loved looking at the different activites. He would even fall asleep in it. Once he got older he would crawl in and out the ring and play with the different activities.

Science Museum - Cosmic Rocket

This product is really good and very simple to do, however make sure you launch, and more importantly, land onto grass. Our first attempt was off concrete and was great until it landed back onto the concrete. Although there were no obvious breaks, the landing damaged the rocket and now the mixture leaks out of the bottom and it doesn't work anymore. As with the other review, we have purchased another as it is definately worth another go!
