Within a couple of months purchasing the clock the alarm and chime function ceased to work. I took the clock overseas for my seven year old grand-daughter who thought it was really "cool"

She is very sad that it does not work properly.

I wanted a pointer, not a toy, so suppose I can't complain. As a pointer, it works perfectly! As for durability - only time will tell. From an educational point of view, once the initial novelty has worn off, I can see interest waning quickly. It is cheap - but beware, postage nearly doubles the price!! The accompanying semi-literate page (basically egging the purchaser not to enter negative feedback on this site!) does nothing to enhance the product's image. But then, you get what you pay for...
