i love technic lego and have always done so - I used to be deprived of them in my youth but have now starting buying them after getting a job! They have the same appeal as they did back then but i am gutted that the classics are no longer purchasable - the big dinosaur/helicopter, the yellow drawing technic lego etc - i really wish i could buy these today.

This product is the best best thing so i shouldn't be moaning - far better than mecano and knex in my opinion - these require more thought, care, and the cog work is very intricate and a pleasure to see in action! buy it - but do shop around- got my set for £90.

Moon Sand - Sand Castle

My daughter got this product for Christmas after keeping on about it for months following the TV ad. With help she managed to mould the shapes for the castle, which held together fairly well. However, there is not nearly enough sand to make the castles pictured on the box, which was very disappointing. She has been asking for more sand though so she can make the whole thing. I must say I enjoyed the sand too.

My daughter got this product for Christmas after keeping on about it for months following the TV ad. With help she managed to mould the shapes for the castle, which held together fairly well. However, there is not nearly enough sand to make the castles pictured on the box, which was very disappointing. She has been asking for more sand though so she can make the whole thing. This is classic Lego. I have to admit that I am not a fan of all the new shapes that are only applicable to one model and cannot be easily integrated and re-used by children in their own models.

This is true classic Lego that uses all the standard bricks that we know and love to gradually build up to create a very life-like representation of this car.

My 9 year old built this with little or no help, even though the vast majority of bricks are red making the diagrams a little harder to follow than for some models.

Fully recommended.

Mine's looking good on my desk at work, and is a great talking point.
