Bought this train when it first came out and it has proved to be an excellent investment. Each time they bring out a new item in the SmartTrack range, the train goes straight back to the top of the list of favourite toys.

We bought the engine shed and reversing tracks for Christmas and had Brio track all over the floor while the train trundled around, back and forth between station and engine shed. Definitely a good buy if you have boys who love trains.

LEGO Creator 4958: Monster Dino

I bought this for my 7 year old son and he thinks it is great. Once made the dino is very impressive, the roar is realistic and it moves with a lurging gait. Most of his lego collection just gets made and put on a shelf for show but this is one he had hours of fun with after. You can also make a rather scary spider (which scuttles across the floor, and much to my son's amusement, frightened his Nana - well worth the money for entertainment) and a snappy crocodile.
Yes I did have to help him abit but that's what good toys are for - bringing families together.

Sylvanian Families Victorian Living Room Set

This is a lovely little set - all the items are well made and very detailed. Included is a working (light-up) fireplace, and an upholstered settee and two armchairs. There is also a coffee table, coffee maker, telephone and telephone cupboard, magazine rack plus lots of little accessories. The Sylvanian Families Victorian Living Room Set is excellent value for money, and would provide many hours of amusement for any child.

Traders & Barbarians : Settlers of Cattan expansion

This expansion set requires the original The Settlers of Catan (New Edition) (or old edition if you have it). It includes rules for 4 "Variants" of the game, including Catan for Two! [The other three variants are: Friendly Robber (no robbing on 2 points); Harbour Master (like Largest Army for Harbours); and Event Cards (virtual dice with extra, er, events)]

The main expansion however is the five Scenarios:
The Fishermen of Catan; The Rivers of Catan (not one but two!); The Caravans; Barbarian Attack; Traders and Barbarians (rebuilding Catan after the aforementioned attack)
