Ah yes, my dear boy was desperate for this ice cream maker. There was great excitement. What you have to do is put plenty of ice and about half a pound of salt in between the round metal cylinder and the outside of the thing (sorry - not a bloke so don't know the technical terms)and then half a bottle of flavoured ice cream sauce, a load of cream and some sugar on the inside and then turn the handle .... and turn it and turn it and turn it some more for at least 40 minutes (yes it will be you, the child will have long gone by now) and then eventually you'll get a little cold chocolate (or strawberry) dribble mmmmmmmm Waste of money - I really wouldn't bother!

After much pleading from my 5 year daughter, I reluctantly bought this for her. Although the actual machine is well made and robust, it does not do what it is supposed to. I filled Mr Frosty with ice cubes and turned the handle, expecting to create a lovely pile of crushed ice on which to pour the flavoured syrup. No such luck. I turned and turned and turned and turned until my arm ached and I was puffed out. This produced about one teaspoonful of slush. In the end I resorted to making the slushy drink in my own blender - much more effective.

the only educational value this toy has, is that it teaches children and adults alike to not buy it, and avoid purchase of its sister products. The only candyfloss I tasted was crunchy with sugar particles and so wispy it melted in my fingers. This product evidently hasn't been tested on any child, because i doubt any child would know how to use the product, and i also has deep reservations that children would like the taste of the eventual "candyfloss". I strongly advise consumers to stay away from buying the product in any way possible.
