I just bought this game for my 5 year old daughter, however she could not even get to play it as her 7 year old brother was playing it constantly!! We are big fan's of leapster and have in total 9 different games in the family. This one though has been the biggest hit yet. There are various different puzzles to work though and every time you get it right you move to the next level. It is a good thought and memory provoking game as you have to consider how to build the bridge to get the little creature to the other side. Another game is to remember how the monster looks and then the monster is broken up and you have to put him back together.

I've done 3 murder mystery parties in my time and they're always fun if everyone enters into the spirit!

This one has a good balance between having information to relay but it isn't directly scripted. It means that it works well for those with improv skills and without! The actualy storyline is ok - just the usual, really. The one thing you want to watch out for is lots of dodgy innuendo about sausages. Even my most outgoing guest was somewhat shocked! But then perhaps my friends are tame.

Although our 4 year old loves it, even he notices that some questions and answers do not tally - for instance, you are asked to find 4 honey pots of a certain type when there are only 3.

The demonstration book that comes with it is full of faults. When trying to sound letters, some do not work, others are spoken as words, not letters. We bought two ThinkPad plus books in error, and were planning to buy the hardware anyway, but found a demonstration of the reading book we had bought and saw that all the letters were upper case, where they are meant to learn lower case first.. don't want to confuse him any more.
Overall, very disappointed really.

I was given this as a gift as I have always wanted one but could not convince myself to spend the kind of money it was priced at. That was a couple of years ago now and it has come out to play no more than twice. what a disappointment. As previous reviews state, the roboraptor does not run, but wobbles, and even if it does get a purchase it doesnt seem to move that far. The instructions were not really any help and I have only seemed to get it to work in demo mode most of the time. My daughter played with it for an hour and then got fedup. she complained that it didnt seem to follow the light from the handset as it states it should. Bought this for our 5 year old for Christmas as a cheaper version broke after a few weeks last year. She loves it. Sound is great for a toy guitar. We have a rock chick in the making!
