We got this as a pressie for our dad, and although he did love it, it is NOT a durable plane. It's made of styrofoam and very cheaply put together. I wouldn't buy one of these products again for this price. It is way too expensive for the low quality.

Leapster&L-Max GET PUZZLED GAME NEW FOR XMAS 2007

I just bought this game for my 5 year old daughter, however she could not even get to play it as her 7 year old brother was playing it constantly!! We are big fan's of leapster and have in total 9 different games in the family. This one though has been the biggest hit yet. There are various different puzzles to work though and every time you get it right you move to the next level. It is a good thought and memory provoking game as you have to consider how to build the bridge to get the little creature to the other side. Another game is to remember how the monster looks and then the monster is broken up and you have to put him back together.

My 1st Scalextric Set

When the track and cars are working well my 3 year old boy and 6 year old girl love it. But I have to say that I spend a great deal of time putting the cars back together. One car more than the other seems to come apart a bit too easily and then I have to keep spending time putting it back together. And then you have to get it just right or the cars won't go round the track properly. It comes with crash barriers that don't go on very easily and then come off and seem to hinder the cars. Yes the track does fit together quite easily but little boys like taking things apart and you can't let them do that or it will wreck the track. My son, who is 4 1/2, got this for Christmas and is still enjoying playing it occasionally (June) - he begged to play it every day for the first few weeks, which must say something for its child-pleasing durability.

The game involves firstly crossing a busy road while avoiding oncoming cars/hazardous objects - quite fast paced & requires the player to get the concept of looking down on the characters (I had to help him with this until he got the hang of it - I must admit to enjoying it too!).

LeapFrog My First LeapPad ABC Bus Red

I love the IDEA of this but the unit arrived completely dead so have had to return it. However, the bus was made of sturdy plastic and was bright and fun looking - my toddler couldn't wait to play with it once she saw it. Forget the free book that comes with it though - its rubbish. A generic "leap's first day". Make sure you buy at least one proper seperate book when you order the bus otherwise it will be a bit disappointing. I have reordered it though...so fingers crossed.

Micro Mosquito Radio Control Flying Toy

I bought this thinking it was the original but it's not, it's the Alany version which by all accounts is a very poor knockoff. Fortunately I had read the above post so knew not to take it out of its box when it arrived - I returned it for a refund and have bought the original Interactive Toy Concepts version from a1gifts for close to £40. More expensive but its definitely worth it for the original. I am really shocked at Amazon, advertising one thing and then supplying an inferior knockoff!

I have three children ranging from 2-10 years old, and they all love V-Smile! This Spongebob game is based around the story of our yellow friend organising a party. My kids paticularly like the shopping game, where Spongebob and Patrick have to go to the supermarket and use the correct coins at the checkout. In another you get to be the fry cook and make Krabby patties (the buns have letters on which help to fill the orders). Like all V-smile games this has a good mix of numeracy, literacy, logic and fun!

Although our 4 year old loves it, even he notices that some questions and answers do not tally - for instance, you are asked to find 4 honey pots of a certain type when there are only 3.

The demonstration book that comes with it is full of faults. When trying to sound letters, some do not work, others are spoken as words, not letters. We bought two ThinkPad plus books in error, and were planning to buy the hardware anyway, but found a demonstration of the reading book we had bought and saw that all the letters were upper case, where they are meant to learn lower case first.. don't want to confuse him any more.
Overall, very disappointed really.
