- requires usb connection as well as headphone jack so lots of wires
- wire connecting speakers together is quite short (about 23 inches) so they cant go very far apart
- no extra/separate volume control for speakers
- no warranty...

+ great sound quality (from music at 128 or 160kbps, joint stereo, on my computer)
+ full, rich and loud with good bass (though no bass boost - so not for those of you who want to make the floor vibrate!)
+ ideal for laptops, mp3 players etc
+ cute and stylish design
+ simply to connect and use, just plug in and go!
+ fast delivery ( i ordered late on wed night and they arrived on fri morning {suppliers- the sharper edge})

Doctor Who Go Glow Light

This is described as a nightlight, torch and projector (hmm, hardly).
In all 3 capacities it's very average especially at £20. The nightlight and torch are a bit too weak and even the Dr.Who tie-in doesn't really add much. Quite disappointed really.

This is described as a nightlight, torch and projector (hmm, hardly).
In all 3 capacities it's very average especially at £20. The nightlight and torch are a bit too weak and even the Dr.Who tie-in doesn't really add much. Quite disappointed really.

Don't get me wrong, this is a lot of fun and okay for the age ranges advertised. But it is isn't fast or zippy enough to appeal to younger kids (under 10s, I think).

At the moment, the price tag of £35 (down from £70 originally!) is spot on and makes this good value. It is programmable, but few are likely to experiment much with it, due to the clunky (ie. simple) interface on the controller. Most of the fun is to be had from the demos, direct manual control as well as the 'autonomous' mode; all via the basic and fairly robust controller.

The Roboquad itself does have limitations, even beyond some which I had forseen. It doesn't function optimally on soft surfaces (eg. carpet) and naturally will have similar problems ... Read More:

Khet - The Laser Game

The concept of Khet is a brilliant strategy game uising lasers. You really need to know your angles of reflection to enjoy this. The fact that there are add on features to the basic pack (which is great in itself) incluing the extra Pillar make this an enduring masterpiece. It is fun and very easy to understand and pick up, may take a while to master and no two games should be the same.

However, sadly it is rather let down by the quality of its manufacture. When using mirrors to reflect a beam of light around a board (some pieces even split the light for more fun); you need to be pretty accurate in both quality of the pieces and materials used. Unfortunately this is not the case with Khet, which concidering the price; you would expect. ... Read More:

since the installation of this mouse we have had firewall problems with the settings changing and now we have had to reregister windows after 3 years of no problems as we have been unable to access our computer. Microsoft don't have an email address for complaints! so I'll have to use the old fashioned method of writing to them

VTech Bob the Builder Talking Telephone

Bought this for my little Bob fan over a year ago and it's still played with! It's been everywhere with us and has been dropped and bashed about on numerous occassions and still working perfectly. It's great on batteries and has three functions which help build IQ:
Can you learn it? - It asks questions like 'where is dizzy?' and when the correct button is pressed it says 'fantasitc!', or 'whoops try again!' if you get it wrong.
Can you follow it? - Simple following the button game as they light up, testing memory skills and getting harder each time you get it right.
Who says what? - As it sounds, press the correct button to the voice.
This is a must for any Bob fan, really durable and great fun.
