Silverlit PicooZ Insecta Helicopter

Got this because my PicooZ had long since died, and even though I've graduate since to a 4-channel co-axial, I missed the little guy. So, got this as a replacement, as I fancied something a little different looking.

As noted by another reviewer, you get no choice in which of the three infrared channels you will receive, which could cause problems if you want to use more than one at a time (is anyone at Amazon listening? Could we have a choice of the A,B or C versions, please?).

It flies great, better than my old PicooZ, but whether this is due to a better design, or simply that my original one got a bit mangled as I learnt, I have no idea: Maybe I had better buy a heli-style one as well, just for comparison purposes, ... Read More:

Shocking - Shock Ball

This ball is so much fun. The shock you get depends on where it touches you. It's very durable, i've dropped it lots and it's still working. You can play so many games with it like, hot potato and you can put the ball on different parts of your body. It's well worth £15, it makes you laugh. I expected it to be bigger but when you play with it you can see why they have made it smaller.

Bandai - Puchi Puchi

I was a little disappointed with this toy as the buttons are very hard to press, and the random sounds that you are rewarded with seem to take forever for them to come. However, as soon as you get your little suprise sound, you soon start popping again to get another one !

I read the reviews on this camera before buying it and decided that durability and ease of use were more important than picture quality - not least because it was to be a present for my 4yr old, but his 2yr old little brother was bound to use it, so it had to be tough enough to cope with a toddler. We opened and experimented with it before giving it to our son, so we knew how to get decent images (Hold it still, make sure there's plenty of light - natural if possible - and don't get too close), and could coach him.

My son is utterly delighted with it. Both boys have taken decent pictures with it, and my 4yr old was familiar with the main functions within minutes. he can snap away with it and has produced a lovely record of his typical ... Read More:

Peppa Pig Electronic Spaceship

This is the first review I have ever written, this product is so bad I felt I had to.
There are 3 seats on the spaceship, 1 for each of the characters included in the box, Peppa, Danny and George. Each seat has a small plastic seatbelt which clips on at the top and bottom of the seat. The seatbelts are incredibly fiddly to fasten and unfasten and you can't just leave them fastened as the characters are too difficult to put in their seats with the belts fastened. It is hard enough to get them into the seat without the seatbelt as their little plastic legs have to be in exctly the right position.
If you don't bother with the belts then the characters just fall all over the place as soon as the rocket is moved.

This is a fantastic piece of engineering.
It is a little slow in its normal learning mode, but you can reprogram it so it takes commands from an SD card. You can replace any of the built-in sounds with your own recorded voice or music. Free software is available to do this.

Fridge Phonics

My daughters are 3 and know most of the letters of the alphabet but not all. They are showing a real interest in learning to read and so I thought this might be an easy way of helping them to learn the rest of the letters. Although the picture shows the letters as upper case, when it arrived it had the lower case letters, which was actually what I would have preferred (the product advertised with lower case couldn't be delivered to Germany). I think this toy will help them learn their letters but I have a couple of reservations: 1) it does both the name and sound of the letters, which I think is a bit confusing, especially as some letters have 2 sounds. 2) It is sometimes a bit difficult to make out the sound properly so that some sounds are similar. ...
