Pass the Bomb

In this game a pool of thirteen cards is exposed one card at a time (with each card showing a short sequence of letters), then the special die is rolled stating where in a word it can and cannot appear, then the timer on the bomb is started. You must then think of a word that (a) contains the letter sequence on the card with no interruptions by other letters (e.g. if the card had the letters 'SAC' then words like 'ransack' or 'sacking' would be acceptable, but not 'stack' because the T interrupts the 'SAC'), (b) obeys the instructions of the die as to where the letters can appear in your chosen word, and (c) doesn't duplicate any words that have already been said in that round - once you have you can then pass the bomb onto the next player. ... VTech Red Playtime Bus

A friend bought the Playtime Bus for our daughter's first birthday and it has been in constant use ever since. Catchy tunes and noises provide entertainment now and the quizzes and games give her something to 'grow into'. Also good to simply push around. Recommended.

this is a great game for the 3-5 year old ! Fairly simple to understand but interesting to even those older than stated age group ( husband said he should have bought ME the game as I spent nearly as much time playing it as son did ). We have the Thomas the Tank game and this one so far and I like this one best.. so does he !

LeapFrog Word Factory - Leapster Software

My son is barely 5 and has been struggling putting sounds together to make words. we have only had this game less than a week and he can read and spell so much better. He guesses at unknown words that he would normally not even attempt. He has even gone up a level in his school reading books, this has given him some much needed confidence. We have 14 leapster titles and this is definitely one of the best.

THIS GAME IS GREAT BUT MY SON IS 4 1/2 AND STRUGGLED WITH MANY PARTS OF THIS GAME. HE KNOWS HIS LETTERS AND NUMBERS BUT THIS GOES FURTHER BY NEEDING THE CHILDREN TO KNOW SIMPLE SUMS, WHAT MATERIAL THINGS ARE MADE OF (EG. PLASTIC, METAL, PAPER) SO IF YOUR CHILD HAS NOT REACHED THIS LEVEL STICK WITH THE 3-5 YEAR OLD GAMES!

I bought this game for myself for Christmas as I really enjoy making my brain work a bit with maths, words and puzzles etc. but was rather hesitant to spend over £100 on a Nintendo platform and individual game. That is probably where the comparison ends as I have only seen the Nintendo version once before.

This is a nice sized hand-held electronic set of 5 different games or tests for your brain to work on. The unit itself feels nice and solid and is very ergonomic - comfortable in the hand with the buttons in the right places although the keypad buttons could be a little small for some fingers.

This is a cute accessory/gadget for your mp3 player which acts as a speaker and dancing eye candy for your desk. I got the i-Cy penguin as a gift and once switched on it likes to make its presence known - especially if you leave it alone for a few minutes without any music. If you play music to it without using the speaker connection, it chirps away happily (or unhappily) according to the type of music that is is being fed. I think it likes some music more than others - and apparently its being making 'penguin is sick' signals (chirping and flashing green and yellow lights) to what I am playing at the moment - oh dear!
