This is an excellent puzzle, especially for those who have mastered the original 3x3 Rubik's cube or the 4x4 Rubik's Revenge. This cube is only marginally bigger than the 4x4 cube with the individual squares being little more than 1cm square. This stops the cube being too big to handle and it doesn't make it any harder to use.

Due to the number of pieces I have some concerns about the durability of the cube but it seems solidly made and the movement is very smooth. However, there are a lot of layers to line up which can make it hard to do quick moves - the instructions state that this cube should not be used for speed cubing.

On the whole an excellent addition to any cube collection.

Anyone that watches the TV show or plays this game really needs to go outside more often. Or at least change the channel.

Pictionary Mania

I love the original Pictionary, and I feel that in the desperate desire to bring out something "new" to generate sales, they've just made changes for changes sake.

Possibly the game now has greater appeal to younger players (although many of the clues will be too hard for young children), but for adults who loved the original game, we found it frustrating.

The new modes or play are largely pointless, and the magnetic drawing pads don't allow you to draw detailed pictures, we ended up finding pen and paper to play it the old fashioned way.

It is possible to play the game as if you were playing the original, so it's not too bad. I personally would much prefer to own the original game however.

Stratego Original

Stratego is an entertaining game for two players, with 'incomplete information' where the pieces of the opponent are hidden. The initial deployment is not fixed, so there is scope for tactics and customisation right from the start. It is easy to learn and has quite a depth to it. The game has been around for nearly 100 years, though under other names, so it really has stood the test of time.

This new edition gets a rock solid 5 stars from me (4 for just being Stratego), but there are good and bad points:

Murder a la Carte Mystery Dinner Party Game - Murder In the Orient (6-8 players)

Played this recently ,it was tremendous, full of red herrings and dodgy accents, mix with a take away and some cocktails and you have yourself a damn good evening!!The more cocktails you have the better your accent becomes!!

Played this recently ,it was tremendous, full of red herrings and dodgy accents, mix with a take away and some cocktails and you have yourself a damn good evening!!The more cocktails you have the better your accent becomes!!
