Taboo is basically talking Pictionary. You split into teams, and in each round one member of the team has to describe as many words as possible to his team mates within the time period. But there are some words that are taboo - that you can't say, and these are of course the words that you really want to say. A member of the opposition checks over your shoulder to make sure you don't slip up.
What this leads to is a fast-moving and at times hilarious game for all the family. It is a game in which age and other things that make a real difference in some more traditional games (like Trivial Pursuit) count for nothing, as what really matters is quick thinking, using words to get round the houses to things.
this is a great fun game!
It is great for all ages young and old
and can be played in a small or large area
great excercise as you have to dart around
can be played 1-4 players!
I cant say anything bad about it!
I would recommended it from age 4 years up
you just need to know your numbers and colours!
this hasnt been given the attention it deserves
my kids got this game and I am totally addicted, we carry it with us
on holidays minus the casing, just using the dice.
we can all play from the 6 yr old up, just in teams.
It is fun and educational.
Buy it.

I love Harry Potter so therefore loved this game! If you've played any other version of scene it then the concept will be pretty familar if not then i'll give you a keep run through of what to expect:
You have to roll 2 die...a numbered one and one with symbols which refers to the challenge you have to complete. You have to complete various challenges in order to win this game some are interavtive such as my play, all play and all play to win, there are question card's which are either about the magical world or the muggle world...usually question's about the actors and directors (they tend to be the most difficult) or you have to pick a house point card and follow what it says. if you get a question right you move the number of spaces ... I originally bought this cube at Argos. At Argos, the packaging is slightly different - it comes in a see-through box - and it was slightly more expensive. However, the cube has now died after fairly heavy use (one of the inner joints snapped), hence the need for a replacement.
The cube comes with a fairly thin "How To" guide which is not particulary easy to follow. The best "How To" Rubik's cube tutorial I have found is by a Swedish guy called Lars Petrus. (I don't think Amazon will let me give a website on this review but it is easy to find). It has extremely clear animations that you can work through interactively and at your own pace and which show you exactly which move you need to make. If you are new to the Rubik's Cube, I think ... 'Super Scrabble' is a game that will certainly entertain and challenge you for many, many years to come. The great thing about it being that it is EXACTLY the same game as ordinary Scrabble but with added elements to the game play. What I mean by this is that, with an extra 100 tiles AND the introduction of QUADRUPLE word squares higher scores and longer words are possible. There are now 2Q's, 2Z's, 4 blank tiles and a host more s's which also spices up the ability to get big scores. A veteran player of the original version of this game, what I have also found with this new variant of the game is that the longer format and new lay-out of the board means that you always have a chance to come back to win from a hefty deficit (most of the Quadruple word squares ... This is a good game - generally about 45 minutes. You have a strategy for getting round the London Underground System so you can tick off your destinations - but Hazard Cards and the dice can throw you way off. Sort of like life really. Never gets bad tempered like Monopoly, and short enough to have a good pace. Easy enough for kids once they know where their tube station destinations are. Great for foreign friends as a souvenir. Competitive enough without being cut throat.
