Pass the Bomb

In this game a pool of thirteen cards is exposed one card at a time (with each card showing a short sequence of letters), then the special die is rolled stating where in a word it can and cannot appear, then the timer on the bomb is started. You must then think of a word that (a) contains the letter sequence on the card with no interruptions by other letters (e.g. if the card had the letters 'SAC' then words like 'ransack' or 'sacking' would be acceptable, but not 'stack' because the T interrupts the 'SAC'), (b) obeys the instructions of the die as to where the letters can appear in your chosen word, and (c) doesn't duplicate any words that have already been said in that round - once you have you can then pass the bomb onto the next player. ... Top Cards - Whot!

This was one of my favourite games growing up. Now as a mum, my 6 and 8 year have discovered this game and really love it too. It is very simple to pick up and have a quick game and it really brings out the competitive edge between the adults and children. Children have just as much chance as winning and you don't have to do the usual 'pretend to lose' as an adult to maintain peace relations in the house.

It is educational as children have a hand of cards and have to match shapes or numbers to the game pile, they also have a 'decision' to make when they get one of the magic whot cards in choosing which shape to change to next (the theory is they choose a shape they have most cards with), they also have to pick up cards if they are unable ... Good value for money! BUY IT if you like marbles, whether you want to play with them, or just add them to your collection its all fun around! I haven't stopped harrasing my nan with it (she loves marbles).

Why i didnt rate it 5 stars?
because it didnt come with 100 marbles, it came with 95. (not that it matters)

Orchard Toys Pop To The Shops

We have a number of Orchard Toys, and with the exception of the Greedy Gorilla game, have found them to be of a consistently high quality. Pop to the Shops is no exception. Our 5 year old daughter loves this. It took her a while just to get her read round how the money works, with change etc. but she really took to this game, and its a firm favourite.

The rules are simple to pick up, the board is colourful and encourages them to get involved, and it brings through some good role play for shopkeepers! Can't really think of any minuses!

All in all - very good value, and highly recommended.

Ravensburger Puzzle 3,000 Pieces Oceanic Wonders

It took me about 6 weeks. Great fun. At the end was adicted to it. Many colors, pieces fit very well. Will do it again.
