Pass the Bomb Junior

Just bought this for my daughter, Lucy, who is 5. We've had a great time with it - the games last just the right amount of time, so we didn't have half the players drifting off to do something else halfway through (if you've ever played Mousetrap or Cluedo with young children, you'll know what I mean). Mindful of the dire warnings posted by previous reviewers, I have warned my children that they should NEVER pass a REAL ticking bomb to someone else as part of a comical word game. I think they understood.

Piranha Panic

we bought this game for our son for christmas after months of searching around and hunting managed to track one down. it is one of the presants that my son (who is nearly 9) has played with every day. very straight forward and a lot of fun for all the family. i would reccomend if you can find it anywhere.

Bedlam Cube - Retro

Its now almost a month since i started playing with this puzzle and as yet have not completed it. After seeing it on Dragons Den i was completely intrigued and being a fan of the old rubiks cube i thought this would be something I could master pretty quickly. How wrong could i be!

My first plan of attack was to carefully lift the puzzle out of the box and study it to see if i could memorise where some of the blocks had to go. This was fine until my 4 year old decided to 'help'. Since then i have tried all different ways but I always seem to be just one piece away from succes.

I would reccommend this puzzle to anyone who has a little patience .

Squishy Mesh Ball

Monopoly Here & Now Electronic Edition

The world has gone mad, I'm 26 and I would say I learnt a lot through many of these old games which required a little brain workout. Buy the classic version; it's great fun and you'll actually get to use some brain power :)

Rush Hour Junior

I asked for this for my daughter for Christmas after seeing good reviews on Amazon. I wasn't disappointed. This game is advertised from 6-8 which personally I think is slightly too old. My daughter is almost 5 and was hooked right from the beginning. She spent an hour or more working her way through the cards - and she was much less inclined to give up than I was! Since then this is a game she returns to over and over again and I am definitely planning to take it with us on a long haul flight later in the year. Some of the cards are too hard for her at the moment but I'm sure she'll grow into them in the next year or so. This is a very educational game - encouraging them to think around a problem and also increasing spacial intelligence - but fun at the same ... Read More:

In the Night Garden Playtray

I bought this for my 18 month old daughter and she seems very taken with it indeed! All the pieces are colourful and of a good quality. It seems a shame that the 'Pinky-Ponk' does not have it's title on the board like the other pieces do. I really like 'In The Night Garden' as I believe it provides a rare chance for toddlers to actually be toddlers instead of being forced to grow up double-quick and am glad there are now more toys about that feature it!

Actually we bought this for £1.50 from a charity shop but over the past 2 years it has proved a major hit with the whole family. In contrast to others, our version appears to be reasonably well made and the sticks are both long enough and flexible enough to work perfectly.

The only down side of the game is the time taken to set it up - poking the sticks through the holes. A bit of care and attention pays off here if the marbles are to be retained for as long as possible. We give the kids a section each to fit the stick in and this keeps them amused for several minutes.

Marbles falling are accompanied by gales of laughter. One of the most popular toys that we own and a real design classic.
