Wheels on the Bus - Drive & Steer

I bought this for my 18 month old son for xmas. I think in general its a good toy. My son enjoys pressing the pink button on the front, which plays the wheels on the bus nursery rhyme. It is recommended for 18 mths + but my son finds it difficult to steer. We love the boost button, but find that the bus does not always turn when steering wheel is moved. Too many batteries also. In the remote and bus it nearly totals 10 AA batteries. Expensive toy to maintain!

The grandparents purchased this gym for our son when he was about 3 months old. He loved it and could "excercise" for 45 minutes straight! Now that he's sitting, the top portion of the toy that spins seems to be a hazard to his little fingers. It's the most enticing part of the toy as it spins rapidly but when he touches it, that part jams and makes a horrible sound that scares him. Please watch your child's fingers on this one.

I love this toy!! It has many different songs (so you don't go crazy) and a few different settings. The children can play a song by pressing a button a few times, "play" the piano themselves or learn about shapes and colors. My son (12 months) loves to look at himself in the mirror too. The bright lights attract his attention when the music plays. Teaches rhythm, he dances to the tunes.

The spining top seems a little bigger in the picture than it really is but thats not a major problem. It only seems to work on hard surfaces like lino in a kitchen or bathroom, also wooden or laminate flooring would be very good. so the only downside to this product would "bee" that it does not spin on carpet.

Tomy Lights 'n' Sounds Busyboard

We've had this for a little while now and I've noticed our toddler showing more interest as she heads for second birthday. As with most Tomy toys, it is fairly robust and looks set to outlast all planned offspring. Only downside is the incredibly annoying bleeps as the levers are pushed and the dial turned - but I guess that's what it's supposed to do.
