Firstly, I cannot believe people have taken the time out to write reviews for the mankini, but as I stumbled across the page and happen to own one, I thought I'd add my own thoughts. There is not much else I can add to these fellows' comments, really!
Lamaze have a wide range of items for babies which all seem to work well. Stretch the Giraffe contains a wide range of colours, rattles etc to stimulate baby and keep him interested. The belly is black, white and blue - easy colours for baby to focus on in the early days. When baby is a little older he'll be interested in the dangly stretchy legs - one foot has a squeaker, two have (different) rattles and the fourth one is crunchy. There are numerous 'taggie' ribbons on Stretch which babies seem to find fascinating. Even later on baby will make good use of the teething rings. The large clip means that Stretch can be attached to a pushchair, baby gym etc to keep baby occupied. My 16 week old little boy loves him - even just holding on to him. ... Read More:
we bought these from another company at a higher price but still found them worth it!! when our daughter was small we entertained her with them (away from her hands and feet.) she loved them then!! They are also a great toy now that she can find her hands and feet.
We have discovered that she also likes to hold them and wiggle them around!!
To the point, although i agree that the socks may come off easily and also that the rattle is rather quiet, i still believe these to be a worthwhile investment, bright, engaging, entertaining and interesting for the baby who is not quite into everything!!
I have got 2 of these for my 2year old, one at grandma's and one at mine.
Such a good idea. No other mess. The pens fill with water. My daughter first got hers aged 1... and no, that wasn't too early! She has loved it ever since.
They aren't perfect, but what is? the mats are susceptible to dirt, as are the pens. I read a couple of review from mums who didn't like them as their children threw juice over them or got the pens dirty, but seriously, keep other liquids away from your children whilst they are being played with, and the pens away when they aren't being used, and whats the problem?
These are with no doubt one of the best toys my daughter has ever had and I already have one in my basket as a Christmas present ... Read More:
I was just browsing a gadget shop in town earlier and stumbled across this for £15. I thought to myself - this must just be for show, so I asked for a trial. It's awesome! I picked it up straight away
The sound is spot-on. It also features two new sounds (one is like a dirty amplified organ, which is excellent) and vibrato for a very different sound. The unit is capable of very impressive volumes - you will be able to drown out all your inferior friends with this little badboy. (Also includes headphone socket in case you don't want to lose your friends)
External input means you can plug in your MP3 player(/whatever) and jam along to your favourite tunes - the tuning knob on the back is so precise (and has a massive range) so you ... Read More:
This was bought for our 7 yr old Pokemon fan. We own the MB Games Guess Who along with their Disney version, both loved by our children. However, if you think this will be the same build quality as the MB versions, think again. Smaller, lighter and more flimsy, this is definitely a cheaper feeling and looking product.
Saying that, seeing as MB Games do not make a Guess Who Pokemon version, this "Guess That" game had to do. It is colourful, it uses roughly the same "Guess Who" formula for game play with a little added complexity and is a lot of fun. Just wish the build quality was higher (seeing as it is the slightly more expensive than Guess Who!)

My son really like this game and i enjoy playing it with him. He is 9 years old but i guess you could play this with a younger child if you wanted.
What is particularly good is the portability of this game - it can be played virtually anywhere. This makes it particularly good for journeys.
Being a Star Wars fanatic and at that age where grown men become boys again, I find myself reviewing the Clone Wars ultimate lightsaber construction kit. Without babbling on about how wonderful Star Wars is and its universe that George Lucas created, I'll get straight to the point. There are 18 pieces to this kit, including 3 coloured crystals that give a lightsaber blade its colour. In this case it's down to clever electronics and the crystals you instal inside the hilt (the main handle) are just part of its charm in the world of 'pretend'. The idea is simply to build your own lightsaber to your liking or build one to replicate a favourite Jedi, or member of the Sith. You can build Mace Windu, Yoda and Count Dooku sabers by following the illustration on the ... Read More:
Having seen the 'my two year old loves this' comments - my (just) five year old has declared this is still her favourite puzzle so top marks for durability. It's a good combination of simplicity (not many pieces and easy to fit the family together) with a bit of a challenge (the bottom half of the car is quite tricky but trial and error soon yields results). Excellent value and box has withstood the test of time, not having squashable corners like traditional jigsaw boxes!
