Dig & Play - Lost Jungle (Dinosaur World) -Np

We bought this toy a week ago. We've not played the game yet as we're still digging for dinosaurs!

I don't know if we are doing it wrong, but it takes ages to chip away at the dinosaurs. However, I'm not complaining - the time it takes means it is very good value for money and will keep kids occupied for ages in the digging stages. Particularly because you're finding a dinosaur at the time, so ours are young enough to get excited about just seeing a head or a foot before the rest starts to be uncovered.

It is also theraputic for the adults!!

This toy was bought for my 6 yr old son. The idea behind the 'dig for hidden treasure' is good, but the 'brick' which encases the treasure is SO hard, it took my son, his friend and myself to smash away at it. We started on Christmas day, by pretending we were expert archaeologists, delicately chipping away at the brick, but after about an hour of nothing but red dust all over the kitchen we took the toy outside and started hammering furiously. The toy hammer provided was far too small to do much damage and the tiny paint brush (for brushing away the dust) was completely useless. (Beware, as the amount of dust produced is considerable.)
