. Hide and Seek - PiratesChildrens Toy Shop > Toys > Shape Sorters from: Great Gizmos I first came across this puzzle at a friend's house and couldn't put it down. Ostensibly, I bought it for my 5 year old son as it is pirate themed, but I believe it is good for my spatial awareness and problem solving too. There are 16 characters on the board, divided into quarters, and you have to utilise the shaped covers to leave only certain ones showing (eg 5 white ships). I followed the puzzles through from beginning to end, they are graded from Starter and Junior to Expert and Master, and thought the progression of complexity was subtle and appropriate. There are almost 50 questions in all, in a handy spiral bound book which slots into the tray in the base of the game, along with the 4 cover pieces. It's nifty, durable, thought provoking ...
